Making Shea Butter can be a tedious process that requires lots of care and attention. At The Shea Trader, we have a tightly knit relationship with our supplier in Ghana to ensure you receive the highest quality Shea Butter available. How is it made?Shea nuts are picked from their trees and brought back to villages in Africa. It is then shipped directly to us, packaged, and waits to be sent to customers to use for various beauty needs. Will I Benefit from Using Shea Butter?Yes.Our Ivory Shea Butter contains essential vitamins and fatty acids to trap in moisture and help anything from dry skin and stretch marks to reducing inflammation.Use Shea Butter daily to:- Treat dry skin, eczema, and psoriasis*- Stretch mark prevention during pregnancy- Help cracked and dry lips*- Protect your skin from harmful air pollution and sun rays*- Boost natural collagen levels and improve skin elasticity *- Repair dry, brittling hair or scalp*- Use as a natural cuticle cream*- Diminish scars*- Soothe muscle aches*- Heal small wounds*Click 'Add to Cart' now for glowing, radiant skin

Very Nice! Great Quality Shea Butter
Took a chance on this brand and I'm glad I did!It should be noted up front that shea butter is a natural plant product, often processed by hand and harvested at various times throughout the year, so consistency, smell, etc. can vary quite a bit from batch to batch, even from the same manufacturer.Nonetheless, the shea butter I received from The Shea Trader is excellent! The butter is firm, but can be scooped easily by hand. It's not crumbly or dry at all. On the skin, it melts quickly and spreads to a nice, even sheen with very little effort. The color is light ivory and the smell is nutty, perhaps medium-strong, but pleasant, just as it should be. Weight was right on the specified "1 lb" mark as indicated. Packaging is very good, attractive and keeps the butter fresh. All in all, I am very pleased with this shea butter and will be returning to The Shea Trader when it comes time to purchase again!Highly recommended!

Pure, Virgin, Shea Butter, NOTHING ADDED, GET THIS !!
This is the 1st time I’ve ever gotten PURE Shea Butter... so I didn’t know what to expect.I thought it would be soft and creamy like the jar stuff I had always gotten, not realizing that the jar stuff had other ingredients added. So I was naturally perplexed at the consistency of this .... so I read up on it... how it was grown, harvested and finally packaged and sold. This particular brand is sourced from a woman’s co-op in Guinea Africa, and it comes straight from there .... no middle man... so it’s pure, not messed with, nothing added.I am surprised at the texture... it’s almost sand-like, but as soon as you put it in your hand, it melts, I tried to demonstrate in my photo’s, but of course I couldn’t... but it melts very quickly with heat ..... and it spreads easily....I’ve been using it as a body oil since it arrived, after shower ... it’s made my skin VERY soft...It’s touted as a dry skin, eczema soother, stretch mark preventer, hair conditioner /mask, good for overworked, over processed hair, just an all around hair/ skin/ body oil.It has a nutty aroma, and depending on the time of year it is harvested, that aroma can be slight, or strong...You can also make your own recipes by mixing with coconut , essential oils, in the microwave, or a double boiler, melting until clear, then whipping until peaks form, creating your own unique body butter .Imagine the possibilities !!!I just discovered this wonderful butter, and you can be sure that I will always have it in my home from now on ...it’s wonderful stuff, you have to get this ... if you don’t like the smell, you can mask it with essential oils, but I GUARANTEE that you’ll LOVE the way your skin feels !!!!

The best shea butter!
By far the BEST shea butter I've ever purchased!!! And, I've been around the block: other sellers on Amazon, various beauty supply's, Whole Foods, and even vendors at my local flea market claiming their butters are straight from the motherland (Ghana). However, THIS shea butter right here has a smooth and creamy texture and such a light, soft scent. The only thing is, I wish it was packaged in a way that I could easily get every last drop! It clings to the plastic wrapping it comes in, and I proudly scrape off as much as I can!

Pure Shea Butter...nothing is better!!!
I have NO idea why ladies pay big bucks on moisturizing creams. Nothing is better than pure Shea Butter. You get a huge amount for short money with NO ADDITIIVES. Scrape out a small dollop in the palm of your hand, add a few drops of water, mix with your finger, put small dollops over your face, use more water to smooth it out and VIOLA, nice, moist, beautiful skin. That's all I have used for decades, and I have very few wrinkle for a 63-yr old. Use it on your hands, elbows, heels, or anything else that seems dried up. HIGHLY recommend.

Really silky and soothing on the skin
This shea butter makes your skin so nice! It is soft at room temperature making it very easy to apply. My skin is very dry and it completely soaked it up. I love that it is not greasy at all. Also, a small amount was surprisingly able to tame my super frizzy hair. The smell can be a bit off-putting so I recommend adding a few drops of essential oil before application. I love knowing that I am not putting any junk on my skin (the largest organ!) and that all of the vitamins have remained intact through the cold-pressed method.

Great natural moisturizer for a great price! Wish the tubs were still for sale, though....
I've been using this shea butter for a couple of years now and I love it. I don't have sensitive skin but I do sometimes battle eczema flare ups and I feel like this soothes and helps it clear up quicker. I put this on my whole body after a shower and it's the only moisturizer I use now. I put it on my face and neck (lightly b/c it is a greasy butter), and I use it as my chapstick almost exclusively. My only gripe is that I'm disappointed this time around that they didn't sell it in the plastic tub but I couldn't wait any longer to see if that would come back in stock so I went ahead & bought this knowing that I would be home when it was delivered. Since it is summer, I was afraid of it melting quickly and becoming a mess in the packaging but it was fine (as I said, I was home and was able to bring it inside right away). I ended up keeping the old tub so when I decided to buy this bar, I figured I would just transfer it into my old tub. I did that w/out much mess but there is still a good amount leftover in the bag so i'm slowly using that 1st.I've recommended this to a friend who's been struggling w/unbearable dry skin the last few months, and I would recommend it to anyone.

New Favorite!!!
I have been using Shea butter for years and this one is by far my new favorite. It’s soft and pliable and easy to use. Some that I have used have been really hard but not this one. There is no grit so I will be using this in my hair. I will be buying more. I will be storing in a jar instead of the bag so that I can add some essential oils.
