I wish the setup and connection to WiFi was more streamlined and easier. I found some great YouTube video's that help with the setup, but the video's move too quickly and you have to continually start and stop the video. In my experience, I had to do a couple things to get this to work. First of all, it is imperative that you connect this device only to the WiFi 2.4 GHz signal, because it will not work otherwise. My current router did not have the 2 separate signals, so I had to log into the router, and activate the individual 2.4 GHz signal. After that, I had to do a master reset of the Cigar Oasis system to clear everything. I then started from scratch and connected specifically to the 2.4 GHz signal, and it has worked flawlessly ever since. They have also updated the app, which has some good improvements. Right now, I am loving this thing. I am often away for up to 6 months at a time, and to be able to get notified if my device needs more water, is worth the extra price they charge for this thing. I also noticed that the fan in this device, is quieter than ever. Very happy with this thing, although when I first got it, and had lots of trouble connecting, caused quite a bit of unnecessary stress. The only thing that I do not know about, is how the device reacts to power loss, or occasional loss of WiFi signal. I likely will just reconnect, but this wasn't something I had time to experience first hand, so I'm not sure at this point.

I have a humidor/refrigerator that fits under a counter. I tried various ideas from gel, to water trays, to Boveda packs, and nothing had the ooomph to keep the humidity where I wanted it. So I ordered the Cigar Oasis. I slid the humidor out from under the counter and plugged the Cigar Oasis into the wall behind it, and then slid the unit back into place with the ribbon cable passing through the door hinge. The installation is totally unobtrusive, no visible wires. And the Cigar Oasis does just what it says it does: it blows out humid air, circulates air within the humidor, and has no trouble keeping 3 square feet of space at 70%. Given the simplicity of use and the fact that it just plain works, I should have bought it long ago. I don't use the subscription-based app... cigars are pretty low-tech entertainment anyway, so I don't feel I'm missing out on anything by not hooking it up to a network.

This Oasis Plus 3.0 does work and does do it's job very well. The star rating is due to the fact that it will not stay connected to my Wifi to be of any use for continual monitoring. To be fair, I did reach out to their customer support team, they were very helpful and responsive. Also, they did state that if this is being used in a wineador (as I am using it in), they have experienced connection problems to Wifi. It stayed connected for about 24 hours at a time, then I would have to factory reset it and start the pairing process all over again. Id does keep my wineador at a consistent humidity though and I have little worry that it will continue to do it's job without monitoring constantly. Great product and great customer service, poor application to connect to Wifi.

I never got the original one i ordered and Amazon issued me a refund. I ended up ordering one directly from Cigar Oasis and I love it. I am using this in a 800-1,000 cigar humidor that I made out of IKEA metal & Glass cabinet. I replaced the glass shelves with Cedar shelves and sealed the whole unit with silicon (allowed to cure prior to placing any cigars inside) and weather strip for the door. This unit works wonderfully. It does need to filled about once per week but the air in the room is extremely dry and I go into the humidor about 3 times a day. This unit keeps the Humidor at a consistent 70% RH. I love this unit and would highly recommend it. It is a small investment to protect your valuable cigars.

I had the 3.0. Worked great for 2 years then one day decided it wanted to brick itself without warning. So I bought the 4.0. First off the humidity pre-set was over 14% out. You can only adjust down 9%. I ensured two different hygrometers were externally salt calibrated to ensure it was the unit. Then I walk in one day and the unit is counting up and down humidity 10-14% in two minute cycles. Oasis Customer support said it's their new sensor constantly taking readings. It's in a fixed environment for 48 hours. there is no changes in the humidor, according to two other calibrated hygrometers. Also if you go to change the humidity preset it starts at program U-0. Which is great. But if you screw up and click the wrong button it'll go U-1 through U-9. Customer support was unable to tell me what any of these specific settings or modes were. And it's not in the manual or instructions anywhere. Maybe I just got a bad one. But this was a disaster and I'm returning it as defective.

Set it and forget it. That's the truth. I have been managing 5 humidors and maintenance in New York is demanding at times. The humididty levels drop so fast in the winter. I have great humidors, but with the furnace running it gets so dry here. I just bout this unit, filled itand placed it in one of my larger humidors and came right up to %70 within one hour. It has been rock solid there. I can barley hear it running. I am waiting for my Newair wine cooler to come in. I am combining all of my sticks into one cooler with custom made shelves and this will be the humidification system. Wish I did this years ago. Great, reliable and accurate....

I only bought this because the weird cable that came with my original cigar oasis is nowhere to be purchased. I have multiple issues with this product. First, the cable. Microusb ribbon cable, and they placed the port on the side so that the 90 degree cable is angled UPWARDS! Then, I find out they had to move the little tabs that connect the fan portion to the sponge-holder module, so that you can't use your old one. Nice. Finally, this overpriced little gem has a feature to monitor your humidity/temp levels through your phone... with a subscription (not to mention a horrible app that was poorly designed). Such greed. Clippy does not approve.

Took a chance after reading several not-so-great reviews. Looking for continued consistency in my wine-a-dor, I pulled out my bags of exquisicat and wired this thing in. I’m a little ocd so I drilled the wire through the back of my unit, sealed it up. It has worked from the start, perfectly. Had it for a couple months now and the RH barely fluctuates at all. Sits right at 70% all the time. Very accurate, I’ve tested it, and a good value IMO. My smokes love it.

I've used a Cigar Oasis electronic humidifier for over 10 years. I bought this model, the Plus 3.0, to replace my older "XL Plus" model as the fan bearing in it finally gave out. I like the Plus 3.0 for the following reasons: 1) With respect to humidity levels, it is reasonably accurate. The unit's stated humidity tolerance is +/- 9% and mine holds around 5% higher than actual as compared against a very accurate hygrometer that I keep inside the humidor as a check. So, I just use a lower set point on the unit to compensate. Its precision is excellent as it has been consistent in holding its +5% higher humidity value. 2) With respect to temperature, it reads within 0.5 deg F as compared to a very accurate digital thermometer that I also keep inside my humidor. 3) The unit is easy to set. The control buttons are easy to operate and respond well. 4) A big improvement over the "XL Plus" is the lighted numerical display that shows the humidity set-point, the humidity level, and the current temperature simultaneously. The display is very bright and easy to read. If this unit's display continues to function and perform as well as my old "XL Plus", I'll be very happy. 5) It is the same size as my old "XL Plus" and is also very easy to fill with distilled water. I don't anticipate any maintenance issues to speak of. 6) It comes with a direct connect AC power cord that you can use in a larger humidor that may have an electrical outlet installed inside. 7) If your humidor does not have an electrical outlet inside it, the unit also comes with a ultra-thin ribbon cable so that the humidor's door or lid can be closed on this ribbon cable without obstruction. Overall, Cigar Oasis seems to make good products. I recommend them and the 3.0 Plus unit.

Aunque existe el tutorial para “calibrarlo” no marca bien la humedad aunque la temperatura si la marca de forma correcta. Si lo vas a usar para añejar o dejar por buen rato si es muy recomendable, pero en mi caso cada 15-20 días tendrás que rellenarlo, hice pruebas con Bóveda y honestamente obtuve mejores resultados a corto y mediano plazo, (no mayor 2-4 meses). Conclusión si no tienes inconveniente en estar monitoreando tus habanos mejor compra bóveda, te recomiendo comprar un higrómetro, si es el caso contrario sí cómpralo pero a fin de cuentas tienes que rellenarlo. Pero un buen punto a favor es que a largo plazo más de 2 años probablemente sea más rentable adquirir y usarlo que comprar bóvedas.
