The staples work very well in my old No. 13 Swingline Stapler. However, Amazon needs to scotch-tape the Swingline box closed, as it opens inside the larger box that Amazon put it into and the staples then need to be gathered and re-assembled in the Swingline box like putting together a jigsaw puzzle... its actually pretty funny...

If your heavy-duty stapler is doing double feeds on standard staples, get these. Double width and depth, handles 50+ pages without a hiccup, box claims 90 pages.My vintage Swingline said I needed #13 staples. They no longer use that number scheme, but these are the ones.

Can't go wrong with Swingline products! Unfortunately, the small staples box was added to a larger box for shipping which did not include packaging material. As a result, the smaller box came open and the contents spilled and separated. If packaging (foam/paper) is not going to be included, a simple piece of tape on the small staples box probably would have prevented it from opening...thanks for considering my suggestion!!!

It's not until you have had staples that don't work that you understand why these get 5 starts. They simply do the job. Every time! These are for the Swingline Heavy Duty Staplers. Makes sense. These are not the same as the heavy duty "Optima" staples. Those will not work in your Heavy Duty Stapler even though they come in more reasonable size packages and say heavy duty. Trust me it's cheaper to just get 5000 and throw half away then to buy those other ones. But do yourself a favor and get a thing of scotch tape while you are ordering cause you will have to tape up the box as soon as you get it. The staples are heavy duty, not the box. And lets face it, with 5,000 staples, you are going to have the box for a while so just tape it now.

We use these constantly in our shop. I would not buy any other brand as we have had nothing but problems with other brands. The swing line heavy duty’s never failed us so we will stick with them. Definitely would recommend.
