This fit my X500 perfectly and has the same amount of slop as the OEM after snapping into place. Took about a couple minutes tops to swap out. The little copper balls inside the switches are what break off so I keep a spare switch on hand now. The only issue with this one is the cut of the key. Getting it in or out feels like I'm about to rip the whole thing aparat. The cut could definitively be better. Otherwise it's a perfect replacement at a great price.

Item appears to be OK. But internal and external boxes were opened and damaged. Poor handling of shipment.

The JD switch broke after only a couple of years and this was a direct replacement (I have an x350) and it's much less than one in the green/yellow box. The included keep has a shroud to keep dirt out which I think is what contributed to the factory switch's early demise. Definitely worth buying this one.

I thought my problem was a defective brake switch and ordered along with this new key switch. The brake switch still hasn’t showed up but thought I would get the switch installed. Turns out the problem wasn’t my brake switch and my old key switch was to blame. Old one took some time to get out of the dash but new one installed in seconds. I love the key with built in water and dust shield. Works perfectly definitely recommend someone purchasing this item.
