Swissmar Cheese Cleaver

This was a gift for my daughter who wanted a cheese knife

We previously had an Ikea cheese slicer, and it worked great for at least 10 years. But it finally broke at the welds. We were looking for a one piece cheese slicer and found this one. However, it would constantly crumble the cheese instead of slicing it. We are by no means cheese connoisseurs, we're just slicing the blocks of cheese from costco. It's also slighty narrower than the height of the cheese, but it's still usable. We'll be on the lookout for a replacement.

The slicer was uneven and has dings in it. It’s not wide enough for a standard American cheese block. Returned. The quality was nice though.

I love that this is one solid piece, nothing to break off or loose handle. It’s not heavy at all. There is only thing I dislike, it’s on the smaller size compared to the one I replaced it with. It’s still works fine but when I do have to work with large blocks of cheese, I struggle a bit more.

We have had ours for over 10 yrs, and it is still our favorite one. We have never had any issues with rusting or anything else. We love that it is strong and fully stainless. No plastic handles to break, discolor or hold bacteria, no spot welds to worry about breaking. Planes cheese well as advertised.

It was on oldest daughter’s gift list. She is a foodie and she found this knife perfect for its stated purpose, soft cheese

I was able to cut the cheese (pun intended) with ease. It really worked great cutting up a big block of aged parmesan cheese I bought.

Very happy with this purchase. Our last cheese knife broke. This one is much sturdier.

Good product but slightly bigger than I expected

UPDATE March 2023-I contacted the seller about what happened. They asked for pictures which I had and they sent me a new knife. It still feels lighter than I expected and hopefully it's sturdier than the first knife. Their service was excellent. Crossing my fingers on the new knife. I won't give 5 stars until I know its durableWhen I got this cheese knife I was already disappointed because it felt light and cheap. Sure enough, cutting through a block of cheese, this knife broke in two. It’s past the return date so I’m stuck with garbage

Not the quality we expected for the price.

Perfect to thinly slice cheeses like Gouda & Cheddar. Haven’t tried for any others but I’m sure it works amazing. Great quality and nice and heavy!
