WANDER Men's Cushioned Cotton Crew Socks, Multi-Pack for Work & Running

I am a middle aged lady who is VERY VERY picky with the kind of socks I wear so after buying/wearing the worlds perfect socks for 20 years, that company sold out to China. I was so bummed when I realized that like everything else China makes, they changed the material from 95% cotton to some icky synthetic material that pills after washing, they also changed the weave of how they are sewn, and, are now paper thin and also, too small for average sized person to wear. So for the past 8 or 9 years, I have been searching and searching for socks that were comparable to what I used to buy. I need them to be made with good quality, high cotton content, sewn with a tight knitted type weave pattern, doesn't have that horrible arch compression that squeezes my foot, isn't restricting around my calf yet doesn't slide down on the leg, has a thicker sole, doesn't pill after washing and drying, and feels so good on my feet! ****(Side note, most manufacturers are now putting that arch compression in their socks because it saves them money. They can use less material and assemble them quicker by sewing them in a looser weave type pattern and then adding that arch compression to keep them from sliding around and bunching up inside the shoe)**** If they were sewn the way a good, old fashion, quality sock used to be sewn, the socks wouldn't slide around on the foot. They stayed put because the threads were weaved and sewn closer together, more compact, more thread material per square inch, in a weave pattern which takes a longer time to construct and more material per sock. However, the manufacturers are all about their bottom dollar and will cut costs wherever they can while fooling the consumer. So, they came up with the clever idea to add this "ach compression" to keep the sock from bunching up in the shoe and make their socks quicker and use less material. I wasted sooooo much money trying to find the perfect socks that fit all the above criteria, only to be duped again and again with cheaply made socks. And then, I purchased a 3 pack of these white Wander socks, size 9-12. . Oh My!!!! These socks are soooo close to being just like the socks I had bought and worn for 20 years. They have everything I have been searching for in a perfect, quality made, cotton sock. Yes, they are on the expensive side but you are going to get what you paid for in these socks!

I have been looking for better fitting cotton crew socks for a long time, and these are the best I have found. Very comfortable, very soft and thick bottoms, and the elastic is just enough to keep the socks up well. They don't constrict my calves and cause swelling. I have a size 12 foot, and the 12-15 fits great, with room. I am so tired of other socks saying they fit my feet, but only if they are stretched tight. I bought 3 pairs to see how they did, and I am now buying more. These should last a long time.

I love these socks. Lately I've been having trouble finding socks that don't just plain suck. I've tried several. These are soft, feel like absorbent cotton, and have very thick bottoms that help pad my feet. They wash well and shrink very little. After trying a box of three earlier, I bought this box of six. I may buy more soon in case they stop making them. A good sock is hard to find.

Wander crew socks are surprisingly comfortable, the padded soul is great but the real plus is the sock from the ankle up, it is just the right fit, not overly tight. I really enjoy wearing them and will definitely order more as needed.

I have bought this brand repeatedly over the last several years. WANDER has done something that other companies have not bothered to consider important and have left a lot of money on the table with consumers who have sensitive feet or perhaps are diabetic or are just more comfortable in a quality traditional style sock. I applaud this company for caring enough to continue thinking outside the norm and not subscribing to the one style fits all attitude many other sock companies have decided is the only way to go. Over the past few years I have noticed most of the other brands have changed the way they make their socks. Most all of them are putting this elastic type band around the center of the arch area. As if this created some sort of compression benefit rather than realizing all it does is make the sock extremely uncomfortable to wear. Not sure why they think this is the way to go, but those types of socks are super uncomfortable for some of us and I simply cannot wear them at all for any length of time. These companies do not seem to understand that everyone does not have the same size feet and since socks are designed to fit a range of sizes usually covering at least 3 size ranges it makes no sense at all for them to assume this idea will satisfy everyone. I have a size 7 foot. Smaller for a guy I know but if you have a size 9 and that sock is designed to fit 7-9 well it may end up only being comfortable on someone with size 8 feet so that it centers up in all the right places. I had been searching for socks that would be medium height and comfortable without that weird uncomfortable and poorly designed band around the general arch area of my foot. Finding the WANDER brand was a bit of a challenge but I am so glad I did. I came across these after having tried several others. Hands down these are the most comfortable socks I have had in years. I ordered many times over in various colors of the 6 packs over the years and recently ordered another 6 because I am on my feet all day and even the toughest socks will wear out over time. I find these last between 2-3 years on average, which for the money is an incredible deal. I absolutely love the feel of them on my feet, they absorb sweat well and do not smell at the end of the day after working in the heat all day long in composite towed work boots, and I haven’t found a more perfect sock design in the last 10 years. I hope this company doesn’t change a thing when it comes to this style design because they are hands down the best most comfortable sock I have ever worn and are perfect the way they are…. My feet are happy and comfortable and have been for a long time. I had written a much shorter review on these in the past and today 9/11/2026 I decided since I had recently purchased another 6 pack of them that it was time to update my review and give credit where credit is do. I truly hope someone from WANDER sees this review and knows just how much at least one customer truly appreciates this design, and the fact that the company didn’t just do what all these other brands did which is decide to make socks like everyone else with that tight uncomfortable elastic band only, and that they kept this line of traditional socks for those of us who cannot stand the whole one style meets everyone’s needs attitude many other companies have taken. Bravo to WANDER for not leaving money on the table. WANDER might also make the style I dislike so much I do not know if they do or not, as I have not gone looking for it from them but if they do make that style too - good for them, because I’m sure some folks like it, and want it. As long as they keep making this style though they will have a customer for life who will also recommend them to anyone I know.

My husband loves these socks. They keep his feet dry and they are thick, he loves how they cushion his feet while he works outside. He gives them 5 stars for a reason. They also last and stay white after washing.

Comfy and high quality and good value

So far so good. Socks are soft and fit well. We shall see how they hold up after washing.

Never had better tennis socks

Die Socken sind schön weich und auch lang. Aber nur der Fuss ist warm eingepackt, dann hört der Frottee auf. Hab sie mir besorgt, weil ich so eine Frostbeule bin und im Winter noch andere Socken drunterziehen kann.

Muy cómodao y confortables. Con ese tacto de calcetín “gordito” que existía antes.

They are not as thick as the Head Cushion which is a plus point, and the socks are very comfortable. In fact I have started preferring these to the Head Cushion socks which require you to buy a shoe size 1/2 to 1 size bigger than your normal.
