These are wonderful for a dinner party. No need to interrupt the conversation because you need someone to pass the salt or pepper. I love the little storage tray as well. A funnel is not included, but would be helpful when filling.

They are sturdy and just the right size. We have a large family and looks so nice on the white cloth tablecloth’s. I set up 4 tables (24 people) and put 2 on each end. They were exactly what I was looking for and are priced so well. I love the metal storage basket that stores away nicely in the linen drawer.

I like this and bought several more to give as gifts. However, these are not without some problems. I washed out the shakers before using them but although I allowed them to air dry for three days they must have remained damp as during the first use at a party (how embarrassing), they clogged. You have to use fine salt and pepper because the holes in the top are a bit small. Then, and this is a warning, I finally opened the last package of shakers and found that three of them were smashed and one had the top on irregularly so that it wouldn't open. Naturally, it was the day after the last day for return. So, these are lovely, useful, and will make an inexpensive host/hostess gift, but open immediately. It has also been suggested that after drying the insides that I put a few grains of salt inside to soak up any moisture.

When I place each place setting with their own salt and pepper shakers, guest love this look and the they don't have to reach over others to get the salt and pepper and they don't feel uncomfortable adding salt or pepper. They might have felt it would hurt the cook's feeling's to add salt or pepper to a dish. This way it they can add at their digression.

My wife and I saw a set similar to this when we stayed at a bed-and-breakfast a while back. I immediately whipped out my cell phone, brought up the Amazon app and quickly found several choices for such an item. It may have been an impulsive purchase - like that precision mellonballer that never gets used - but since the novelty has worn off, I'm still very satisfied with the purchase. We do not entertain often, but when we do, it's usually for several people at a large table. Passing around salt & pepper shakers is so much of a pain that some people simply don't season their food. Well, these little puppies solve that problem - one set for each guest or between each pair of guests. Then the dinner conversation usually starts with someone exclaiming how they would like to have these. Then the subject of Amazon.com comes up and how wonderful it is to be able to order almost anything, with free delivery most of the time, and very quick free delivery for Prime members, etc. Whodathunk?

This is a great little product foe the money. I bought it to use for taking salt & pepper on tray to living room or bedroom for convenience. Works great for this. One downside is difficult to refill & slightly small size. Would definitely recommend though.

The item was way overpriced. I did not realize that at the time that I ordered it. Disappointed in myself for not researching it before purchasing from Amazon. My fault.

Just what I wanted only thing wrong was the packing as one was broke (bubble Wrap springs to mind) and if you need them in the next 6 months order them now they come by rowing boat
