Works great and the program that comes with it is an added bonus
Was able to convert old cassette tapes of my deceased dad and grandmother singing songs around a campfire as well as other recordings made by deceased family members. It's great to easily share those precious memories with my grandchildren and I couldn't have done it without this. The program that comes with it allows you to filter out white noise and other distractions so that the sound is clear and vibrant.

It has worked pretty good. However, it will not record in reverse which is a problem.

I had a couple of old cassettes with some original music on them from 20 years ago. This worked just fine to get the music off and into mp3 files.

I through it in the garbage.
I spent HOURS trying to figute out how to use this and nothing, pay a professional to help, someone that is expert in apple garageband, so should have figure it out but after 2 hrs of trying could not... this was a disapontiment. I sent a message to complained and no one answered. I through it in the garbage.

great- for the first 12 cassettes...
Once I figured out how to clean up the noise, the machine was great- for the first 12 cassettes. From cassette 12 to 13 it quit working recording. Sound works great on the cassette deck, but the laptop now records white noise. I have tried numerous things to figure the problem out to no avail. Still researching online for answers.

Phenomenal Item!
I couldn't believe how simply this was to use and how inexpensive the unit is. The sound quality is great and there are many different parts to the audacity software that comes with it for more serious audio editing folks. Highly recommend!

Can't do nothin' with it
followed the instructions to the letter BUT the messages and instructions that were supposed to show up in Windows 7 did not show up. as tiny as the type is in the so-called help manual, there's a chance that I surely did miss something. oh well, I go back to the big dinosaur machine.

Gets feed through
Followed ALL the instructions to get this to work - software never connected the iMac to the mp3 software translator. LOTS of noise when monitoring music. CHEEP product - Would be willing to pay more to transfer my cassettes to my music library. Such is my luck lately
