Great pool
This thing is better than I imagined. Make sure you follow the instructions! This is a great size for a family and cost me roughly $230, plus probably that again in water/chemicals/skimmer/filters (see below for a guide). I don't need to be able to stand. I just want to cool off! My 3 year old can stand no problem in the pool at full height and usually get in and out on her own (well supervised of course). I would leave the dogs out of it unless you're sure they won't pop the inflatable ring at the top. They stress to get the bottom of the pool as flat as possible, which is true, but good luck on grass like I have it. My pool leans slightly towards the back of my house so one side isn't quite at the fill line, but whatever. Once you've stretched it out dry as best as you can, as the instructions state put maybe an inch or so (but not much more as it gets heavy QUICKLY) of water inside and get stretching. I found grabbing from the inside outer ring (the dark blue as opposed to the light blue) just at the seal with the inner ring and rolling my fists forward quite helpful while simply rotating around the pool until the bottom had no folds anywhere. There's little hills/bumps, but no folds in mine. Once you have maybe a foot in there, you can walk away completely returning every once in a while going around the lifting the outer ring to assist with filling. I'm not sure if you need to do it, but it helps remind you that you're filling the pool. I just refilled it after losing my chemical balance (didn't have a cover yet, too many organics) and forgot about the fill. I got outside just as the water was pouring out over the top! I probably lost 50 gallons before I could get the ring back up. Set a timer!!!! A typical garden hose does roughly 10 gallons a minute, so that's 50 minutes from start to finish. Your mileage may vary. The filter that came with it does a fine job. Remember, you can spray out the filter and reuse for a surprisingly long time. You'll know it needs spraying because it won't push as much water out as before which is bad for the pump. Watch out for the crummy filters online. They have little patterns on them and can't be sprayed out as well. Go with the solid white ones from Intex. We put a blue tarp down first before filling the pool and that was a really great idea because it helps keep the grass around the pool in better shape. You'll lose the grass under the tarp and pool, but everything else is good. Rather than turning everything into mud, the tarp kind of catches some of the water which helps a lot and also serves as a wash basin for dirty feet. We also have another tarp for a cover. The covers that are built for this are now in the sixty dollar range which is robbery. At the start of the season they were fifteen bucks in some places. Our order was conveniently cancelled at that price, but no matter. A blue tarp works fine with a few bricks to hold it down.Your water will have a faint smell like Vinyl for a while. Don't mistake it for chlorine. The inside outer ring will also attract a lot of crud, so make sure to run your foot along it regularly to mix it into the water for filtration.I accidentally swapped the filter ports as one of the illustrations fooled me; just rotate the pump 180 degrees and it will work fine.I use chlorine tablets with a rubber ducky floater. It does a good job, though I have to slide the dispenser down to have of the lowest setting since it's only 500 gallons. When you buy the pool, buy chlorine tablets, a dispenser (don't use the filter pump, it reduces the longevity of the filter), soda ash to raise pH, either Muriatic acid or Sodium Bisulfate powder to lower pH (acid is more effective and not hazardous unless you have open cuts, but sodium bisulfate is easier to find and buy in bulk), a net skimmer, a four pack of Intex TYPE D filters (the short fat ones), and two tarps at least ten feet long. You don't need many chlorine tablets. I've been using the same one for over a month. As for pH up/down, it's up to your water. Mine tends to raise over time so I needed more pH down. I haven't actually touched the soda ash, but you don't want to wait until you need it, especially in the summer AND with covid affecting supply.I don't use shock personally, but it's recommended by most as an effective means of balance.I think that's it. That's all I can think of at least. Good luck to you! There's plenty of resources online for first timers!Cheers!

See below for inflatable ring fix!
The media could not be loaded. Got it all set up by myself just so any single females are not worried about it. Had a smaller one before but this one is a perfect size to float in with a floatee raft. Love the sizeOne month later update, super annoying that the top floating part with air in it has to be re-inflated every day otherwise it goes flat and dumps out half the water. I’m starting to regret this. Stinks because I was really enjoying it.Update. This is my second year with the pool. I stated the issue with the inflatable ring but I have a fix that anyone can do who has the same problem with the daily deflating ring. I will include a picture also. Simply purchase a 10 gallon aquarium pump so that it’s small enough. Then run air tubing from the pump into the valve and simply leave it running. Costs nothing to run it. It’s already sealed because it’s for use with an aquarium and it solves the ENTIRE problem. All the items can be bought here on Amazon for under $20.This is a complete game changer and makes me love my pool. I also switched to the larger pump and feel like it does a better job but it’s not necessary.

Great pool.
I bought this last summer and it has held up great, set it back up for this summer and no problems. You do have to take out the filter and replace it or hose it out, when it gets icky it does slow down the filtering process. I think it's great for smaller kids or I'm a adult and it's perfect for me to use laying on a float and get a tan.

Leaks and More Leaks
Final update: now in our 2nd season of using the pool and we have leaks everywhere. I’ve tried using vinyl patches but the weight and pressure of the water is just no match. Mind you, the leaks are not so severe as to affect the water level much but we do have to add more water each morning. This has the unfortunate side effect of lowering the water temperature. The final nail so to speak was one of the filter tubes suddenly bursting. The only solution for that was to raise the pump high enough to prevent water from getting into the tubes. So now we have a useless pump. Side note, no amount of flex tape will stop the leaks. The quality of the vinyl is abysmal and I’m left with the only option of buying the same pool all over again.

Great pool…filter/pump not so much
This is the 2nd Summer Waves pool I have purchased. The 1st one lasted 3yrs and the pump is still going strong. This 2 nd pool itself is great too, but the filter/pump is not what is advertised. Completely different than the description on line, in fact we are not even using the new one it seems incapable of the job (very small filter and no chlorination built in). Still using the filter/pump from the first pool . Be aware of the description…..

Good Value
Most reviews are not very good for this pool, but I had no issues, it only took an hour to level the ground and it wasn’t perfect yet the pool held up just fine, we are enjoying it. We had shipping issues but the company responded immediately and we got a replacement pool to us within 48 hrs of the complaint. We also did not experience any holes or leaks.

Love this pool and the customer servicecustomer service
We ordered this pool and it was easy to set up. The pump only lasted a month.I contacted the company we bought it from and they gave us a refund for the pump, no hesitations or questions asked! The customer representative was very nice and professional. I would definitely buy from them again! It was a pleasant experience!

Pump broke immediately
Pump broke immediately and i tried to contact the vendor through Amazon for a replacement since it would be very costly to send back the whole pool and they never got back to me.
