just another estes product, used for molding, not rocketry.
Since the 80s I've bought Este products. I guess I still will even given the amount of flash from their cast of these products, I still had to smooth them out with a blade, wool and shine them up. They would not suit my needs for experimental rocketry, I used them for molding to make casts of the tips. If aerodynamics were a factor in my projects, I'd not buy these, but it's a great deal for what I wanted them for. Also, there are varying degrees of quality, SOME of these nose cones had no flash at all and no sign they were manufactured the same way as the ones with flash.

These are good cones, but the ellipsoid cone is NOT the same as a Goonie or a Baby or Big Bertha. It is about twice as long as those.

great for building your own rockets instead of the prefab kits and made to fit the standard Estes NC 60 tube body size (large). My daughter used this size to build a three engine cluster rocket that we launched several times in one day.

I Like Them
Great Cones!! The Ogive cones are the same profile as the Cone for the Estes Patriot, which is what I use them for, and the Ellipsoids are good for Goonies or Baby Berthas.

Great nose cone for modding Big Bertha
Great product to enhance the Big Bertha sized BT-60 body tube. I used this to lengthen the nose of the Big Bertha rocket as I had put an E engine mount inside, a 12 inch stuffer tube, and a kevlar shock cord. The BT-60 size of this also fits toilet paper tubes for further modding. The ellipsoid cone is interesting as it has a boat tail section with section for engine hook. This would be a good one to use on a Baby Bertha to move the motor back and make it longer with a longer cone. Of course, adding weight to the nose cone to move the center of gravity forward to compensate the boat tail would be a good idea. Oh the possibilities...
