Works well with RING Pro 2 hardwire doorbell.
This works well with RING Pro 2 hardware doorbell. I had used one of the hardwire NewHouse chimes before this one. Continued to get a hum sound, and the chime would vibrate and sound-off at times sporadically. I finally came across this Heath Zenith hardwire door bell and have no issues with hum, vibration, connecting to my RING doorbells, or unwanted chiming. Also, definitely use the transformer that Amazon recommends to purchase with this particular hardwired doorbell.

Great door chime! Pleasant sounding, easy to hear, and not an eyesore.
"It's just a doorbell; either it works or it doesn't. What else is there to say?" You'd be surprised. As human beings we have accomplished incredible feats including sending people to the moon and curing horrible diseases. Yet when it comes to the doorbell, a simple device whose only task is to informs us when someone is at our front door, we struggle mightily. Search for a doorbell and you will come across all sorts of audio atrocities: some are obnoxiously loud, others are ineffectively quiet, and others produce a sound so irritating that they put you on edge every time a guest arrives. Then there are the visual blunders: door chimes so large that they occupy half of a wall, or ones that just look like a discarded early prototype for a military communication device. How did we go so far astray? All a doorbell really "needs" to do is provide a pleasant (or at least tolerable) sound each time someone presses the button outside your door while ideally not looking like an eyesore on your wall. Fortunately that is just what this one does.Acoustically, it produces the traditional "ding-dong" sound, and it does so with real metal chimes, not a fake-sounding squawky speaker. It sounds neither old-fashioned nor overly trendy. The chime is easy to hear from several rooms away (for me at least) but it doesn't cause you to need a change in undergarments if it sounds while you are nearby. In terms of visual aesthetics, I wouldn't necessarily call it attractive, but neither is it an eyesore. It is neutral enough to fit with most decor and styles and it maintains a presence on the wall without drawing attention to itself.Bottom line: If you want a doorbell that makes a statement or allows you to express your own personal style, this isn't the chime for you. But if you want a reliable, pleasant-sounding doorbell that is moderately attractive, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better option.

Decent but not as functional with smart doorbells
Looks fine, was easy to install but it still doesn’t work well with our smart doorbell. Sometimes it will struggle to ring and sounds like it is slowly dying. It is most likely an issue with the smart doorbell but since description says compatible with smart doorbells, I was slightly disappointed when we still had the same issue

It has it all: Affordable, stylish, great sound, and works great
The media could not be loaded. Five Stars All The Way !AFFORDABLE: This is a great value for your money.STYLISH: This chime looks great. It has a low profile with rounded edges. It almost disappears on your wall.SOUND: The classic ding-dong sound can't be beat. It is loud enough without being offensive.WORKS GREAT: It just works out of the box. Simple wiring and simple installation. As reported in other reviews, the unit must be installed vertically to get the "ding-dong". If you install it horizontally you will only get the "ding", regardless of how you wire it. Perhaps it is a manufacturer defect/oversight; it certainly wasn't noted in product's description nor in the documentation included with the product. The cover is large enough to cover a 2-gang box opening on your wall, it looks nice and pretty much disappears on my light-colored wall. Now I just need to fill the two small screw holes on the wall. It is a great value, I recommend it.

Easy to install
So I live in a pretty old place and though it is well kept, things go out. The 50 year old door bell was no exception. Why does everything work through WiFi these days? Good lord who needs all that complication? With privacy concerns being what they are and finding out that some of these companies have built-in back doors that allows them to look any time they want, "upgrading" to one would be like "upgrading" to dystopian authoritarianism from freedom (it isn't an upgrade).Took the old one down, put the new one up. It is that simple. Make note of where the wires are, put them back in order. Mine even fit the previous mounting holes, oddly enough. I put anchors in, screwed it down and it took less than 10 minutes.

Beautiful sound, lovely cover design, reasonable price
We replaced our old mechanical chime with this one. I upgraded the transformer to 16V 10VA, and installed this unit vertically (which is better for our location). Went in without a hitch and has a beautiful chime sound. Some complained of cheap springs, but I disagree. The springs have to be just that strength to achieve an equally loud "dong" sound after the powered "ding". Stronger springs would make for a louder 2nd sound. The overall loudness is fine for our medium size house. Some commented about it being too soft, but it is actually much louder without the cover. So perhaps the openings in the cover could be widened to allow a greater sound level to emerge.

Cheap and wrong mounting hardware
The media could not be loaded. Complete Junk! I’m a mechanic and normally don’t leave bad reviews. The screws that came with it don’t even fit the anchors that came with it and the cover is almost impossible to get off and impossible to get back on.
