She's Got This

I bought this book for my daughter’s 7th birthday who is training level 4. It was easy for her to read herself and has a great positive message behind the story! The illustrations are also very good and she loved that the book was by Laurie Hernandez. My daughters favorite event is beam so that was really cool too.

Ordered for a friends daughter for her birthday. I read the book before I gave it to her. Sweet book, fun illustrations.

My daughter loves gymnastics and happened to fall and get hurt at her class yesterday. She got back up. We read this book last night and I was able to use a real life experience for the book. It is a great purchase right before the olympics.

Often books by famous athletes or celebrities fall flat… they’re not children’s writers after all! This is an exception to that rule. Sweet story, fun illustrations. My 2.5 yo loves it!

At almost four years old and three months into her first gymnastics class, my daughter does loves this book. It taught her a good lesson about getting right back up when she falls; even when it hurts. It has also helped her understand why people might stare when she does her “banastics moves,” alleviating typical shyness. The book is colorful, and it’s a perfect bedtime book length. For a children’s book, I was disappointed in the simplest grammatical errors. My daughter is of the age where I want her to understand how to properly string together her thoughts into sentences with correct punctuation, but this book is written and punctuated as a stream of consciousness.

I gave this book to my granddaughter who is in competitive gymnastics, at her last meet she fell off the beam 3 times! A blow to her ego and this book is all about not giving up. We both enjoyed reading it.
