Everybody's Got Something [Roberts, Robin, Chambers, Veronica] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Everybody's Got Something Review: Great book and inspiring message - Loved the book and loved the saying " make your mess your message." This was one of many inspiring quotes in the book. Robin is an amazing woman on many levels not the least of which was how she battled myelodysplastic syndrome. She battled it with strength, courage, and humility. The fact that she takes time out of her busy schedule to interact with others who are going through similar situations is truly amazing. I have to say as a health care provider I took to heart the stories she shared about her journey and have changed my practice. I was a fan of Good Morning America before the book but now love the show and Robin`s book confirmed what I had always thought about the chemistry being real on the show. Love the book and highly recommend it! Review: Good read - Love the book

Good Read
I recently joined a new book club - one where most of the members read the books and we actually discuss them. It was a very fun evening and I enjoyed meeting new people. The read for June was Robin Roberts' Everybody's Got Something. This is a quick easy read. Despite facing a life threatening disease that was most likely brought on by the treatment for breast cancer, Robin's story is very positive. She does admit that there were times when the weight of her ordeal did cause her to feel angry or depressed and not exhibit the light bubbly personality that she normally displays. But for the most part the book is an amazing upbeat treatment of a horrible experience. I don't think I could have had her positive attitude. Some people might find this positive outlook hard to believe. To be fair, unless you know Robin Roberts personally, you can't know whether this is truly her or just her public persona. I liked that she had a positive message and that some readers will find hope in her story. I found it interesting to read about the people she knows and has met - both famous and not. She does include quite a bit of minutia in the story. That can be distracting at times. Overall, I enjoyed the book. I had expected it to be somewhat of a depressing read. But it wasn't. I loved reading about her mother and I especially loved that she realizes how blessed she truly is. If you like biographies/autobiographies, then I recommend you add this to your reading list.

Robin! Robin! Robin!
Robin Roberts outdid herself on this book. This was such an inspirational and inspiring story of the trials and tribulations that Robin has gone through over the last few years. The one constant that I took away from the book was the gratitude and appreciation she has/had for her family and especially her parents. Through it all her family, friends and colleagues fought her battle right beside her which gave her the strength, determination and motivation to keep going even on her darkest days. One other thing I thought was very nice was how Robin continually mentioned the fact that it saddens her that many people have gone through or are going through the same thing she did but they don't have the resources that she does to get the best medical care, have the best doctors, etc. She was really blessed that her sister was a perfect match. This was an easy read and I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is going through something in their life, not necessarily the same thing as Robin.

Truly Inspiring Words
Robin has a unique way of making everyone around her feel uplifted. She is genuine, loving and gracious! As a breast cancer survivor myself and a years-long admirer of Robin, I was so thankful she shared her journey unreservedly. From the moment I began to read I couldn’t put it down! Thank you, Robin, for sharing and for loving all of us… your Team Robin!

This book gives me insight and courage
As a person experiences the new norm of life with cancer, mine was Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Robin does a wonderful job explaining the medical facts of the disease, the physical and the emotional hell of this cancer. I have been in remission for 17 months and now it's back. I'm scared however after reading this book, it has allowed me to get my focus on me. I'm a nurse practitioner and spent my career helping others. I now know I have to help myself first. My transplant is about a month away. I feel fortunate that a close friend has offered to teach me meditation. My 23 year old beautiful daughter is all about giving me a crash course in yoga--- I hope I too can make my mess my message , by some chance Robin is near Charlotte,NC from March - May Iwould be o honored to meat her!!!!! I will be at Carolinasas Medical Center and Levine's Cancer Center

Great Book, Excellent Read!!
I have not even finished reading this book yet and want to start reading it over because it is just like watching a movie, every time you see it you find something new. I want to find that something new that I missed. I am sorry for all the things that happened to her, but it is what made her, her. She is our Good Morning America Robin. I watched her every morning until I found out she had cancer because my Mom got it about the same time. The book is an excellent recovery and healing story. It keeps you up and well as Robin. She shows America how to do it. There are rough days, she minimizes them I think, but she focuses on the good days because that is what will get us through. And that is what will get all of us through in the end. I give it a whole hearted 5 stars
