I have recently learned to read music and needed to move beyond the beginner books. This book is the PERFECT next step in learning from home. I am so very happy with it.. I can actually read all of the notes and tell how fast or slow to play them. Thanks to the Tonestro Recorder app that I downloaded three weeks ago. AAA+++

I like that the music is easy to play and for beginners there is good information for the student to learn how to read music.

The title on this is misleading in that it is not easy at all. You have to have at least a medium understanding of how to play the recorder in order to play these. I originally purchased this in the hopes of helping my 9 year old daughter to play. Unfortunately it was way over her head, and as for my understanding, I play symphony level, it was a challenge. So I would not recommend this for beginners at all. Other wise it was an excellent buy and was fun for myself to play.

Great book. It has many well-known tunes. The level is not for a total beginner.

Wonderful, exactly what I needed. The finger pattern for the notes are given so the beginner can look them up on one page in the beginning. The pieces are simple (but well done) versions from well known famous music pieces. They sound great and give you the impression to be already really skillful with the recorder :) During our long drives in the car on a camping trip I entertained my family with playing the book from front to back....I had fun and my boys were exposed to some classics!

I purchased the ebook. I was pleasantly surprised that the music notes were easy to read on my tablet. The songs start out easy and progress.

I'm really happy to have this easy classical book. So tired of just playing polly wally doodle, etc. Wanted something other than songs from childhood. Having lots of fun with this book.

I got this on kindle and am pleasantly surprised by the format which, although slightly small, is more than acceptable.The actual music is a good choice for beginners and most pieces should be familiar in order to sustain interest and provide a point of reference when coming to slightly harder rhythms.

My daughter is teaching herself to play recorder and finds this book clear and instructive. I can make no further comment as can't read a note!

Only 16 very short pieces so £1.99 makes this expensive. Suitable for advanced learners but well known works so beginners could try.
