ADAPTIL Junior Puppy Calming Pheromone Collar, Blue

We adopted a little guy a few years ago after we lost our other fur baby to heart failure. Anyway, the new one had been tragically mistreated and completely neglected in his life before he came home with us. He had been kept in a very small kennel, had never been outside, could barely use his legs, didn't know what it was to be petted and loved on because he was neglected so severely.....this poor guy was a mess. But I adopted him and all of his problems. I have never given up on a dog, but this one was the absolute worst case I had ever come across. I was afraid that he would never come around and be a loving companion. I was wrong. I came across these pheromone collars and I bought them. OH, MY GOODNESS. What an amazing transformation of my dog! It doesn't make him perfect, but he is completely different. He's not as skittish, not as nervous, scared, anxious and depressed. He sleeps so much better than without this. He still has trouble with loud scary noise, bugs, being alone. But for the most part, he's a completely different dog. With the aid of this collar, the pheromone diffuser, and some edible items that help him with his behavior issues, he has become a loveable, snuggle Munchkin. I don't use any RX's because of the side effects that can happen. I appreciate the more natural remedies for issues that may arise in life. And he had issues. He still has some, and I think he always will, because he was so traumatized and mistreated in his early life. But he now accepts pets, he loves to be loved on, he's definitely a "VELCRO" dog! I am so thankful that I came across this product and decided to take a chance. I am sure it won't work for everyone's dog's needs, but if you have tried several different things and have had little success, it could behoove you to take a chance on this. Because if it does work, then you will be able to feel better about the quality of life your dog will have. I know that I do. I have faith that this collar helps him and when it's time for a new one, about 4 weeks, I can see a big difference in his behavior. So I replace it with a new one and within a few minutes, it begins working its magic and he begins settling down. I always have several of these and several of the diffuser refills on hand. I don't want to be without them because of the fact that they're working for my little fellow and anything that makes him happy and comfortable I want that for him. He had a terrible life before us and I want to do everything I can to help make sure he has the BEST LIFE EXPERIENCE he can have. And this collar is a part of our life now. I hope you give it a chance because it could be good for your dog too, and isn't that what we all want for our fur babies ❤️?

Got this yesterday (hasn’t been a full 24 hrs) & I have to say it’s done absolutely nothing for our 13 wk old Snorkie (schnauzer/yorkie) puppy. ZERO EFFECT!! I got this to tame the incessant barking 😣😣 doesn’t work @ all. She’s great in her kennel & goes in her play pen no problem prior to this product so that’s not why I got it. Guess it’s not meant for barking 🤦🏼‍♀️ Waste of money IMO 🤷‍♀️

I have a 9 week old Alaskan Malamute pup that has some separation anxiety. Unfortunately, didn't seem to have any impact on him at all. He wore it for 3 days before I gave up on it doing anything. I wish it had helped!

Seemed to help my dog with his anxiety. He seemed to get very nervous when I would leave. This helped with keeping him more calm. The fit was easy to adjust for his small size.

We tried for a whole month….did not work😹

When we first got our puppy we put this on her, she only cried in her crate the first night. After about a month she got very barky when in her playpen so we bought a new one and she calmed down again. When going to the vet, pet store, a friend's home, or even puppy class she listens and often lays down and just chills. It's been about a month again, she is now barking and being a lot more restless. I will be repurchasing. Note: I do use an adapter plug in next to her playpen and crate as well. I will try just replacing the plug-ins and not the collar to isolate them and judge their effect. I will update this review in a few weeks time. TIP: Make sure you buy it new, not used. Also, make sure it is close to their skin (two fingers should fit under the collar) and not too loose or it won't work. CON: The method of putting it on needs to be changed to a buckle system. When I take it off to groom her or bathe her it is a pain to put back on.

I got an 8 week old puppy who knew nothing but her litter mates. Being the runt of the litter she was always snuggled tightly by her pack. First couple nights without this collar was tough. I tried to let her sleep next to me to help her get through the nights but she was constantly whining and crying. I got this collar on a whim, hopeful that I could do anything to ease her transition. She is a bit timid so I didn’t see any immediate drastic change in behavior but she did seem to be just a bit more calm… I chalked this up to her starting to warm up to me. She was able to sleep in her crate with only a few minutes of whining the first couple of nights. I thought it was just coincidence but I found no reason to take the collar off. I wasn’t a believer until just now, I had forgotten to put her collar back on after brushing her and she was whining in her crate during bedtime.. which she has not done since 2 nights after first collar use. I was not able to vocally soothe her… and I remembered I’d forgotten to put the collar back. I put the collar back on and within a few minutes she was asleep with no more whining! Give it a try, it’s cheap enough that you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
