As advertised, fits my Nova 1624 perfectly.
4 stars only because it's black and my original lathe bed is gray! Hahahaha seriously though, works great, installs in less than 10 minutes and that's only if you forget righty-tighty, lefty-loosey.

Mine fit perfectly, no filing needed
Perfect fit! Every casting angle milling operation has tolerances, so maybe I just got a grid one. Some purchasers had fitment problems with requiring filing and fiddling to get it right. My bed extension fit so well I can barely feel the joint between the main lathe bed and the extension, and it is as true as I can measure up/down and left/right.

Great accessory for the 1624 II lathe, expect some difficulty with aligning during mounting
Heavy duty, very durable and well manufactured. Likely to last a lifetime if properly maintained. Experienced some difficulty in setting it up with my lathe though (1624 II). It's hard to align, and even in the instructions it specifies you should file down the bump that remains once aligned. I don't think I really should have to file anything down, yet that's to be expected I guess. Adds a good amount of weight to the rest of the lathe to help prevent creeping/wobbling with odd shaped pieces. The black paint is nice. All around I like it and I'm glad I bought it. Great price too.

Solid
This is a solid machined piece. There is a very minor misalignment on one of the rails. I wish they still had they grey ones available since my DVR XP is grey.Install is easy if you can tilt the lathe back and get to the bolts from the bottom.
