GREAT for raw meat!
As a professional chef, I’m no stranger to kitchen tools that promise a lot but fail under real-world conditions. When I picked up the Thirteen Chefs Cutting Board, I was skeptical. A black, color-coded, plastic cutting board? Fine, but could it handle the relentless abuse of daily prep work? The first thing I noticed was its size—20 x 15 inches is ideal for professional use, giving plenty of workspace for breaking down proteins or managing a pile of vegetables. The half-inch thickness struck a great balance: sturdy without being cumbersome. The non-slip surface was the cherry on top. No sliding around on my station? We were off to a promising start. This board has now been through the wringer in my kitchen. Knife work? Flawless. Whether I’m breaking down a chicken, chiffonading basil, or filleting fish, the board's surface strikes the perfect balance: not too soft to dull my blades, not too hard to feel like I’m working on granite. The lack of a juice groove is noticeable, especially when dealing with juicy fruits or proteins, but it’s a minor inconvenience considering the board’s other strengths.Cleanup is where it really shines. Plastic boards are notorious for holding onto odors or staining, but this one is a tank. After dicing beets, I thought I’d ruined it—but nope, a quick scrub and a trip through the dishwasher, and it looked as clean as day one. Its black surface hides any minor scratchesWhether you’re a pro chef like me or just someone who takes their home cooking seriously, this cutting board is a workhorse you’ll be glad to have in your arsenal.

The cutting board you need.
I don't know where to start, but I'm in love with this cutting board. It doesn't slip when I'm chopping. It’s extremely durable and does not bend. It cleans incredibly fast; seriously, the water just flies off this thing like an over-waxed car. I got the color black and while it does show cut marks, it’s not a big deal to me since it’s doing what it needs to. This cutting board is a workhorse. Storage can be a pain depending on the size you get. Thankfully I’m able to store mine in the compartment under my stove. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Nice product but not great on granite
I really like the sleek design. It's kind of a stealth cutting board, most people who came over had to ask what this was which I liked. However, if you have granite countertops it WILL slide and it's not as simple as putting a cloth under it. I had to buy separate sticky pads, and eventually went back to a nice heavy wooden cutting board. But I did really like this product in the right situation.

Perfect board!
This board is perfect. I got the large one and it stores easily between the cabinet and trashcan. I have the beautiful granite stone board I bought on Amazon, so I got this one to actually use on top of it. Perfect size. When not in use I store it and show off the beautiful granite board.

This is a very good cutting board
Firstly, it's beautiful and very sturdy. It seems well made.It is exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find in any other equivalent product. As for scratches and marks: for anyone who has take professional culinary classes, the knives we invest in are very important. They have delicate, finely honed blades that have to be cared for scrupulously.A cutting board made from wood, for example, will show cuts and marks. Knives do well with good wooden cutting boards. The resultant wood savings are minimal and for the most part harmless. If this material is non-toxic, it is likely unharmful when abraded. If you spend $500 on a chef's knife, that takes precedence over a $20 cutting board!

Sturdy Cutting Board
I love this cutting board. It’s thick and large enough to cut multiple things on it. It does show knife marks. However since that is precisely what I’m doing on it, it doesn’t bother me much. Easy to wash too! It does slide on granite, etc so I had some stoppers I put on the button

This board is absolute waste of money
It attracts ants like crazy. Just 30 minutes after cutting fruits on it, there are a ton of ants all over, even though I cleaned the board by hand. It is not as good as some of the other boards I've bought for the same price. Further, this boards scuffs up and scratches very easily. Just after one week of use, it looks unrecognizable - the black color is all scratched up and worn out.
