I have been to NY a few times before for work and to visit friends and got this little book to supplement a recent weekend visit to the city. There were some interesting suggestions about places to eat or shop at, but the book is very incomplete on its own. The maps were terrible and difficult to use, and the suggested restaurants and activities were all scattered around too far from each other. Many of them were fairly well-known establishments one would probably find in other guide books.We had a much better time just walking around different neighborhoods and exploring on our own, but this book might be nice for someone that lives in the city or in the nearby area. I definitely saw some places that I would visit if I were spending a whole summer in NY.

Love the content of this book , but it's falling apart. It was delivered with a torn cover and broken binding, and it's supposed to be new.

Has absolutely everything (and more!) on my to do list for NY listed out, with interesting content and cool photography. The book is quite small and so useful for traveling light, and the cover is sure to impress anyone who sees it - it folds out to a rough map of the city! The book is split into five sections; landmarks and architecture, cultural and art space, markets and shops, restaurants and cafes, and nightlife. Each section has loads of different things to do with extra info such as opening times, prices and websites for each sight. It also has a few actual maps at the back, with locations of the places mentioned - made planning each day much easier. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a useful city guide, with a little edge compared to other more traditional guides.

Las guías de victionary son muy originales y cuidadas, pero cuando se empiezan a ojear, uno tiene la sensación de que toda la originalidad que se ve en la portada no está tan presente en las páginas interiores. Aún así sigue teniendo buena maquetación y es una muy buena compra si quieres locales recomendados por gente que vive y trabaja en cada ciudad.
