Wow! Just Wow!
I own the Neo Geo book, the Amiga book and now the SNES book. The SNES book, unlike the Amiga book comes in a hard-case with a nifty little 3D-type sticker on it. It's not a hologram, it's a ribbed image that changes the pictures depending on the viewing angle. Another coffee-table book of superb quality. It's also pretty thick and good value IMHO.If you're a SNES fan, you _need_ this. The problem with the Bitmap books though, is once you buy one, you'll want more. You have been warned!Next stop is SNES box-art book.

Brilliant Visual Companion!
This book is simply brilliant! I bought it as I enjoy the NES/SNES era of 8 and 16 Bit gaming and what it meant to me growing up. This book nails it!! The sections about the main players in the dev space are interesting and each game gets its moment with a high level overview and some commentary about the pros and cons.I’ve been using this as a reference for downloading lesser known SNES games through emulators that I never played as a child.Thoroughly recommend this if you’re a retro gamer. I’ve bought the NES version already.

Fantastic book for those nostalgic for the SNES
Firstly, a lot of the older reviews focus on the pre-order and availability of this book. I ordered from Amazon and received the book as I would any other, so these look to be out of date.On to the book itself. I absolutely love it. Beautiful to look at, well presented and written by experts with access to those that made these games happen. Very highly recommended!

Arrived with a dented corner - thanks Amazon
The book is 5*It's generally out of print within days of reprints going live.I got the last one currently in stock. So for it to arrive, dented on one corner is hugely disappointing. No choice but to start a return for refund and try and order directly from Bitmap Books in the future.

I loved the Spectrum and Amiga book
But this is just really a collection of mainly obscure Japanese RPGs, pages and pages of them. They are not my memories of the SNES. The book would have been better focused on spending some pages dedicated to games like Mario and Street Fighter, they were Halo games
