UPDATE - Great Customer Service - Great product
Updated Aug 2019 - So I have used this now for two hunting seasons - this summer, the blade partially snapped off - yes I was hauling on it but that is what it is for - right. Needless to say I contacted customer service - WOW - they were awesome - got a few bits of info from me and they are replacing it for me. Pole/ Saw and this Lopper are amazing products... worth the $$. Top notch - perfect addition to the pole saw

Broke on 2nd small branch - hooyman no longer supports it.
Got this as an addition to my 10' extendable pole saw by hooyman. Found it online while awaiting a repair part for the pole. Hooyman was great on that repair item so figured they'd be great if there was ever a problem with this. On the 2nd small branch - the movable cutting blade got a nice chunk broken out of it. I called hooyman & they no longer support this item - meaning it was junk & they don't honor warranty claims on it. They told me to send it back & Couldn't guarantee another one wouldn't have the same problem!

Blade is made of cast metal. Breaks easily.
Seller was very fast on a replacement after i submitted a review. Problem is that the blade is made of cast metal. Some call it potted metal. The first one the blade broke on a branch. Looked like something took a bite out of it. But the seller replaced it with no questions. My guess is that they have had this happen before. I would make a replacement blade for it out of better metal and then it should last for ever. I’m working on finding someone who can make me one.

I got this for hunting to trim my shooting lanes lt looks sturdy the mechanical part seems to be decent but I’m only giving her the four because I haven’t tried it yet will let you know how that goes but I have no worries

Hubby loves his Hooeyman
My hubby is an avid outdoorsman in both the woods when scouting for hunting season and in my yard trimming trees. This tool has been a God send for him. He loves it. Lightweight, easy to use, extends to the perfect length. Makes trimming trees and paths a breeze. Highly recommend to other avid hunters or landscapers.
