It is easy to use and serves the purpose. As it's not available in the nearby Indian Stores, Getting from / through Amazon did serve our purpose so well

These wicks are so thin and it was difficult to handle it. The length of the wick is good, but they need to make this little thick as shown in the image to handle it properly. I had to use multiple wicks to get the right size.

I purchased this wick for my oil lamp and it performs its job, but there are a few drawbacks. The material is quite soft and not the highest quality (you get what you pay for), which made it difficult to fit into my small oil lamp. I had to cut and adjust the wicks, and since it’s not strong enough, I needed to roll it several times to fit it into the opening. This took some extra effort. While it does work, I'll be looking for a wick made of better material next time. If you don’t mind the extra preparation, the wick will function adequately.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: If these are "long" cotton wicks, I'd hate to see what their definition of "short" is! One of the product description photos shows them next a ruler, measuring in at over 4" long. The ones that came were barely 3", and burn out very quickly or sink down into the oil.UPDATE: I was using these wicks in one of the bowl-with-a-lip type diyas, and the wick kept sinking and either going out - or lighting up the whole bowl of oil. I sent that diya back and got the kind that has a base, a top bowl, and a threaded wick-holder in the center, and these wicks work perfectly in it, so I upgraded my review to 4 stars.
