Amazing tool for woodworking!!

I bought this set for a wood project with my Grandson. The plans called for the use of the Kreg pockethole kit. I read reviews for the numerous different pocket hole sets. The others may have worked ok but the overall positive reviews of the Kreg set swayed me. The only downfall was the much higher price of the Kreg system however after using the set for this project it is well worth the price. It is well made and setup is very easy. The package was shipped quickly and arrived before promised. I received an email from the company shortly after asking how everything was and if there were any problems. I would definitely recommend purchasing the starter screw set and if you want to use the plugs for the holes to order extra of those as well. You don't realize how many holes you end up drilling and screws used. There are fine and coarse thread in the different sizes so depending on whether you are using a hard or soft wood. Overall great product.

As a complete amateur at woodworking, I hoped this would be easy enough for me to use. I living in a manufactured home (a.k.a. trailer, double-wide) and have been making over my kitchen, living room, and dining room. The cabinet quality isn't the greatest, so I wanted to try my hand at building my own kitchen island. From everything I'd read on blogs, people seemed to love the Kreg jig system, so I ordered this one. Straight out of the box, I admit that I was confused. I wasn't sure exactly how to use it and the instructions weren't very detailed. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and then learned how to use it. I found a PDF from Kreg that shows how to build cabinets, and that had the MOST helpful instructions for how and when to use the jig. I had to modify all the measurements in the instructions to fit my needs, but in the end, I built this kitchen island from scratch! I'd never made anything before this, and I was able to build a high quality kitchen island in about four hours. (I also built a countertop, which isn't in the photos). The jig is nothing short of amazing! I love love love using it and it gives very professional-looking results. There are no visible screws on my cabinet, because I built the entire thing using the jig. I recommend buying more screws, as I ran out of the ones included in the kit very quickly. I also bought Kreg's cabinet hardware jig, and each of the products was worth EVERY single penny. Easy enough for this amateur to build a cabinet from scratch. Highly recommend!

I'd recommend buying a larger clamp and forgo the kit. Buy it piecemeal. Also a separate screw kit has all screw sizes except the 2 inch length I needed to fasten 2x4 framing to 3/4 plywood RV floor. Had to buy another box of single size 2" screws via a trip to the big box store. I would tell Kreg that they should include the small clamp disc in the kit so you can use other regular clamps for thicker wood. The long length square drive works great in most cases but Kreg should consider adding another square drive that is maybe half its length for tight spaces. The long drive + the drill did not allow me the space to drive the screws . I had to resort to a 2 inch square drive that I already had but it was barely long enough.

This is a great tool for wood working

I recently bought pack because it saved me a few bucks instead of buying everything separate. I have the Kreg Mini and this tool is a million times better. I wish I would have invested in it sooner. The kit makes the measurements easy and great for storage to keep it all together. I am not a great woodworker by any means but it helps me do a professional job. My only issue I ran into was the screw kit that it comes with did not have 2” screws which I needed for one of my joints due to the thickness of the wood. It was not a big deal as buying more screws for these projects is fairly inexpensive.

I had to rebuild my 5-year old gated fence, and I decided to use pocket screws after watching many youtube videos to make sure that my gate is strong and lasts a really long time. This jig allowed me to easily drill the holes for the pocket screws. It comes with the jig that puts the starting point in the proper spot, a clamp to hold it down, the drill bit used to drill the hole, and a really long square bit to drive in the screws. This kit also came with a variety of screws of varying lengths. Each is used for a specific thickness of wood. Since my job was outside, I used the blue screws, but I had to buy more from my local HD to finish the job. They carry the same jig there, but the one I bought from Amazon came with a clamp. This jig kit is perfect for building a fence and making sure my cross members are held tight and strong to my posts. It is easy to use, but you do get tired of drilling all the holes. When you tighten up the screws, you can really feel the wood (cross members and frame I built for the gate) grab onto the adjoining piece. It's much better than just pounding a bunch of nails through the wood (as was evident by my original fence/gate falling apart). If my gate/fence holds up like they say it will, then this jig kit will more than have paid for itself.

The clamp was not included. If it's not in the kit, then take the clamp out of the pictures. #### My mistake, the claim was delivered separately the next day. I should learn to be more patient.
