I was looking for a gladiator helmet for my Halloween costume and wanted something unique and authentic. This helmet in person is really amazing. It fits perfectly and I generally have a larger size head. The style and quality are impressive. It has some weight to it but not excessively heavy, to be expected from a real metal object. Fantastic buy! Strongly recommend.

The metal helm came in a little oily but it was shiny. I feel the faceplate is a tad bit too big when comparing to movie quality, but the only part to complain about is the piece of metal under the nose. Your mouth tends to touch it, though I put tape and a little foam pad to help with comfort. The top fin is a little lopsided though that may have just been mine. Also the top corners on the inside of the nose are right angles so the pad helps keep it from hitting your skin. The fitting this allows is the inner lining at the top. It's like a shoelace going through a bunch of flaps, this allows it to get bigger, I have it fully tightened. And the strap actually works too. Doesn't come with a stand though.I give it a 4.5 , if it was 100% symmetrical and a tad bit smaller helm all together, it'd be a 5/5.

Helmet is so domelike in shape that even with the straps buckled, it falls to either side of your head since it isn’t head shaped. Face plate isn’t aligned at all, screws on the temple areas are completely off. Mohawk isn’t straight. Eyebrows and nose aren’t straight. Metal below the nose is so long that you can’t see the wearers jaw. Whole thing is covered in oil to a insane degree. Tried fixing it myself but the way its made makes that impossible for a regular person like me. So much for my gladiator costume.

Came defective, the front face part that is on hinge is crooked and doesnt line up. Very obvious especially since it says they look for defects from manufacturer in description. The helmet was lso covered in an oil so the whole thing is greasy and needs to be through wiped down once you get it. Also used a included click on coupon around Christmas and today and end of January it's $10 cheaper with the $6.00 off coupon so price was raised for holidays but what else is new
