I will focus my review on two aspects: customer support and the actual product itself. I would like to add the disclaimer that the item was bought by me and I received no compensation from the seller / manufacturer for this review.Let me begin with customer support. In one word - SUPERB. I had some issues with installation (see below) and emailed them late in the evening (I believe it was a Friday), not expecting a response until the following Monday. To my pleasant surprise, they responded almost immediately with suggestions. I had to contact them again the following morning (Saturday) and again got a response within a few hours!. They were very responsive to my concerns and questions and shipped alternative mounting kits by overnight courier from Canada, twice! They get 5 stars for customer support.As far as the product itself, it works great and is an affordable insurance against leaks and flooding from common appliances like dishwashers, water heaters, clothes washers etc.Installation was in the end very easy. I had issues because of my water valve having a short collar, so the first mounting kit they sent did not work. They sent another kit by overnight courier which was better but not quite stable. They finally sent me another kit, again by overnight courier, and that did the trick. All necessary hardware and instructions are provided. So, unless you have a short collar on your valve like me, you should have no problems installing it on your valve.Although you can buy just the valve robot by itself (if you already have a Samsung Smart Things hub), I chose to buy the kit which came with the hub and three water leak sensors. The advantage of buying the kit is that they will set up the valve robot to work with the hub and with the provided leak sensors before they ship it, so it is a simple matter of plug-and-play. If you buy the valve robot, hub and sensors separately, you will have to set them up on your own.Once set up, the system works very well. When testing with the Samsung Smart things, hub, a push notification is sent immediately when the leak sensors detect water and the valve robot closes the valve on the water main. It takes about 15 - 18 seconds for the valve to be closed. A push notification is sent when the valve is closed. Once installed and set up, you will be able to check the status of the leak sensors and the valve robot remotely from anywhere in the world with cellular/ WiFi internet connection. You can also close the valve remotely from anywhere in the world. This will be a boon to people with vacation homes which will be unused for several months. You will not have to go to the vacation home simply to turn off the water; you can do it remotely.The unit is well built and should last a long time. The torque on the motor is sufficient to close the 3/4" valve on my water main. They have kits for 1" and 1 1/2" valves. I cannot comment on the effectiveness of the unit on the larger valves.I will update my review if I encounter any issues going forward, but for now I can recommend this product without hesitation. The product works great and if you have any troubles / issues, you can be assured of excellent and rapid customer support. They stand behind their product.

Great product, great seller to do business with. Took me 30 minutes to do the complete install. That includes the robot valve, the hub and the three leak sensors. Much higher price than the $35 specials you see on Amazon, but after returning two of the cheapo ones, I was reminded once again you get what you pay for.

Purchased in January 2020 – Ontario, CanadaExcellent customer service. I purchased the Smart home valve kit with the bulldog robot, hub and sensors.I am really impressed with the high level of customer service. The entire kit was setup for me in advance, installation was easy and took only 30 to 40 minutes including testing.I took the extra step and connected the valve robot power supply to a UPS battery backup for extra protection in the event of a power failure. I bought the UPS at a local computer store.In April i had a very small water leak from my furnace humidifier drum and the valve robot worked perfectly and shut off the water main to my house and sent notifications to my phone. The notification indicated the specific sensor with a time/date stamp.I also received a $30 discount on my annual house insurance. I phoned the insurance company to advise them and was pleasantly surprised to receive the discount.I highly recommend this device and this company without reservation. 5 out of 5 stars.
