This hippo salt and pepper shaker set is fantastic. They are large enough to have a presence on any table, and small enough to fit nicely into your hand. The black one is for pepper (two holes) and the brown one for salt (three holes).If I had any criticism it would be that the ceramic chips a bit too easily...we solved that with a sharpie.The packaging is unimpressive, but the product is completely cute.Oh, they have magnets in their noses so they stick to each other. Romantic? Well...5 stars.

Hard to use, but very cute
Kind of hard to use, but they are vanity salt/pepper shakers, so its not like you should be expecting too much. They have small magnets viable on the tips of the face/nose, so it appears they are kissing. Very cute gift, especially if somebody loves hippos. Pretty durable, and about the size of a fist.

I bought these as a gift for my girlfriend. They are acceptable. The finish chips very easily, but they are indeed cute kissing hippos.The packaging looked and felt extremely cheap. Cheap enough that I invested in a testing kit to see if my gift to my girlfriend had been lead poisoning. No lead found, but consumer lead testing kits aren't great at finding lead in ceramic glaze, so your mileage may vary.

Sent this back. Packaging was disappointing. It was supposed to be a gift, but the packaging made that idea impossible!

Okay product but came in a ripped opened box
the salt shakers themselves were okay I guess but pretty cheap looking but I guess I shouldn't be surprised but what im mostly upset about is I bought this item as a gift for my stepmother and the packaging it came in looked already used and completely ripped open so I actually had to take them out of the box and give it to her in something else which upset me but other than that they are kinda cute if you really like hippos

Exactly like the picture and got to my how relatively quickly. If you like kissing, hippos, or even just salt and pepper then you really are missing out if you don't buy these. I used them as an engagement ring and she said yes! I am a lucky man, a lucky man with amazing salt and pepper shakers.

hippos were ok but the packaging was pretty beat up
hippos were ok but the packaging was pretty beat up... this was a gift that went to UK. i was glad the hippos weren't broken but the box was embarrassing...looked used.....sigh
