I bought this for my dad since he now works from home and likes to do little artsy stuff at his desk. He already had a nice rake from a previous garden, so I can't speak to how well that holds up/works, but it did not come damaged. I read about the issue with the sand but my dad didn't use the sand anyway (he wanted to use sand he had picked up on vacation in the Bahamas or something). He liked all the little doodads that came with the garden and I picked up a tiny air plant and Buddha statue to match too. Good item for the price and a lot of different things are included.

I give this zen garden a 4/5. Personally, my only flaw with it is how shallow it is. You can not apply any pressure when raking in the sand, or you’ll easily get to the bottom and it is not the same feeling as raking sand obviously. The value for the money is great, as these zen gardens aren’t as cheap as you’d think. The bridge and rocks make it look really nice. If it weren’t for the super shallow sand, I would of gave this 5 stars. I think it would be a great gift for a kid or younger teen.
