Used for "hard stick" patient needing frequent IV starts
My mother-in-law has to go for frequent infusions to treat her Rheumatoid Arthritis. They might poke her 4-5 times to get an IV started. They would use hot packs to aid IV sticks. She would drink water to be better hydrate. They were pressuring her to get a permanent port (which would be a potential source of infection). I noticed that when she had her hands soaking in warm water after washing the dishes, the veins on her hands would stand out like worms. I ordered this hand warmer and the hot pack inserts. Going forward, she soaked her hands in hot water for 5 minutes to get the veins to stand up. Then she put her hands in the hand warmer and kept them in during the 30 minute ride to the clinic and while waiting in the waiting room and while kept in the infusion chair while the set up. Only when everything was assembled for the IV stick did she remove her a hand and they were able to get the IV in on the first try. She has repeated this process for several months with consistent success.

Good pouch. Good price. NOT youth sized.
The price is right, no need to pay another $10-$20 for Under Armour or Nike. The only problem is the lack of tightening. I bought this for my son for a cold weather football game. He's tall and thin for a 13 year old (5'10" 130lbs.) and this pouch was still loose around his waist adjusted as tight as it can go. But with his full pads on, it wasn't too much of an issue.

Perfect
Highest quality hands warmer we've ever had. Beats UA, Nike easy.

In puc: I am aware he is wearing upside down
Initial review: so far he likes it, it has a velcro breakaway strap on one side in case someone grabs it during play, side release buckle for regular use.Top zipper pocket for the hand warmer packet and fleece lined. Worked well for evening practice even without the packet. He’s a frosh in high school, 5’5 120# waist 28” so the belt a little loose on him. The cuff is a bit wide so it gaps on his forearms.

One of my best purchases ever!
I go out very early in the morning to take care of my horses and our mornings are typically in the 20s or teens. Even with gloves on, I was having to come in to rewarm my hands. Since getting this hand warmer, I have no problem completing all my chores before coming inside.

Great Handwarmer
Works well as a hand warmer, great for my center to keep his hands warm so he can snap the ball. He is 8 so i did have to take the straps up to fit him as he is thin for a center but just a few stitches fixed that up

Openings are too small
This is OK. BUT the hand openings are so small I have a hard time getting my hands in it quickly. I bought this to use as a football official with limited time between plays. I'd hoped I could quickly slip my hands in and out but its tough.

Perfect for the cold season
Son is using it for football with cold temps and is very happy with it's comfort, how it holds up throughout play and ability to insert warmer packs into the pocket. Helps a lot as the season extends into the cold temps in our part of the country.
