Healthy and good tasting food makes tummies happy
Fantastic book. Each section focused on foods that are seasonal. I like how each meal is really a meal plan and allows you to prepare for dinner, breakfast, and lunch using the leftovers. Great tasting, fresh food makes our tummies happy.

The Book of Whole Meals; A Seasonal Guide to Assembling Balanced Vegetarian Breakfasts, Lunches and Dinners
It's so - so. I didn't think it was that fantastic -- at least not as great as one of my friends who owned a copy raved about it. But, then again, she's not a vegetarian either. I'm not a vegetarian either, but am a Vegan which means I eat a much more restrictive diet and try to stay away from soy products because they block digestion of such things as Iodine.

A seminal book for vegetarians.
This was one of the first vegetarian cookbooks that is virtually dairy free. Recipes are easy and delicious

Miso hard to find
I find it interesting, but most of the recipes call for miso which I am having a hard time getting. I am not vegetarian and wanted to try after I heard her lecture. I will see how one of her other books help me with my quest in healthy eating.

worth the space on your bookshelf....
I eat macrobiotically, and although this book is not macro specific, it does a GREAT job laying out how to plan meals to minimize time spent cooking...

Nice book, just wish it had color photos!
The book gives a lot of good information, but I'm disappointed with the black graphics. For the price, I think it should have color photos instead of the tacky black and white drawings!

Book of Whole Meals
This is an excellant whole foods recipe book. If you are into cooking healthy meals this is the book for you. AnneMarie Colbin has put so many recipes in here. For the English / (UK) this is a vedgetarian book. It is excellant. This book has healthy vedgetarian recipes that are not loaded with cheese and fattening ingredients. It is great for people with Lactose problems. This is also a great recipe book for very different, imaginative vedgetable side dishes. There are no pictures, however there are alot of recipes. eg Pizzas with no cheeses,healthy pastrys, bechamel sauce with no dairy..... This book is the ideal book for those watching their weight but still remaining very healthy. I havent seen any book like this in the UK.

have not had a chance to view this book as yet, am hopeful it will meet my needs in preparing good meals
