Great book
Its super easy to follow the book. It will make you a good gun Smith at least with takedown and reasably.

Recommend for anyone interested in shotguns
Covers nearly all the designs of actions available with today's shotguns and a few antiques still in service today. I've rated it with 4 stars as I found some of the descriptions did not include all the information I felt necessary. However, with a little mechanical knowledge or gunsmithing experience the missing information could be determined. Has great information on reassembly and notes on what to look for during reassembly.

has most of all brands and types of shotguns. missed a few that come into the shop. great writing and clear explanations for the pro and the ameture. and for those who think that they are a pro

Very helpful with dis-re-assembling a 1910 model 97 Winchester.

some disappointments
I WAS DISSAPPOINTED IN THAT some of the older shotguns were excluded or reported incorrectly like the western field and the model 31 remington.i have a lot of those come into the shop this is one of the reasons why i bought it.

Very helpful book for disassembling my Remington model 17. Although that model isn't listed, the Ithaca 17 is and is almost identical.

A nice manual
Covers a lot of designs and brands of shotguns. With a little mechanical knowledge or gun smithing experience this book will help with a lot of gun manufactures disassembly and assembly.

Yes,he needed this Gun Digest Book Of Shotguns Assembly/Disassembly.It is very informative and useful.The time element to look something up in this book is also very much understandable. Thanks again for a great book. Thelma

Good
Like it, however not complex. Just a minor suggestion: As a novice some of the pictures are not easy to understand, youtube is your friend in this case. A video library link of all the guns/methods featured in the book would be awesome.

If you maintain your own stuff,books like this are worth their weight in gold.This one has clear instructions and good photos.

A good reference book
A good reference book. I like the photos along with the text for disassembly/ assembly. The tools required section is of good value.
