As a night-owl, I often ride my cruiser bike during the wee hours (of the night) in and around the neighborhood which is poorly lit in most areas.For awhile I was using a cheap light and many times I would put my hand in front of the beam to make sure it was actually on. It was, but emitted so dim it was all but useless.This light, however, illuminates the street and sidewalks very nicely. The difference between this light and the previous one is like night and day (no pun intended).The light adjusts with a zoom option which is great. Comes with one LED rechargeable battery along with charger. I carry a few backup rechargeable batteries when riding for great distance or long periods of time. Although, if you prefer, the unit also has the option to accommodate AAA batteries.I highly recommend this light, especially if you're like me and ride in low light conditions.

UPDATE: 6/15/2015:After getting in contact with Maria from Bodhi, I was able to receive a replacement flashlight kit. The new flashlight itself does not have the issues with the prior one. I can immediately tell it works like they intended. With everything working correctly, it is a great asset to my bike at a competitive price. Very happy with the product and support team.===============================================PREVIOUS REVIEW:This is a cool looking little light.However this flashlight is extremely frustrating when mounted to a bike. Every little bump, like an uneven sidewalk, makes the flashlight change its current setting. Event a small strike of the flashlight against your arm will make it think you pressed the power button. The power button is not weak, so it must be a circuit issue inside the electronics.If you're biking at night in traffic and all of a sudden the light switches into panic strobe mode no one around you can see anything, so it isn't safe.

This thing wasn't quite what i expected at first but it grew on me and I am enjoying it more and more. This thing is super bright!! much brighter than I expected. I could see thing reflect off street signs more than 3/4 of a mile away and this is during busy streets with other lights illuminating the street signs at the crack of dawn. Also, another thing worth mentioning, the customer service is great and they are very prompt with there response as well as resolving any discrepancies.

The flashlight did not hold firm in the clip as I road on city streets, so I wrapped gaffing tape or duck tape around the flashlight handle so that the light stays in the bicycle clip. Unfortunately, that didn't work as a long term solution, so the flashlight pops out if I go over bumps. Totally unacceptable. Otherwise, the light is bright, and I appreciate that the battery is rechargeable.

Its a glorified flashlight, but a nice and bright flashlight. The rechargeable battery is weird and cheap looking but it does the trick for my commute of about 25 min. The battery lasts about an hour for me, though I'm guessing at that as I run it for 15-25min at a time.Be careful if going over big bumps at high speed, it could come off or come loose in the holder.

The flashlight arrived the day of our counties biggest rain and wind storm in 10 years. I didn't have enough time to charge it that day so I popped in the household batteries and ended up using it that night when the power went out. It was bright enough to light up a room. No lanterns needed! I don't ride a bike so I'll use the flasher on my dog during our evening walks. I even shared it with my family during the holidays and now everyone wants one! It's now my new go-to flashlight!

good set, but the issue i had was the front light is lightly wedged into a rubber holder, no clasp, no lock, it just sits there. My light has fallen off before, it has shifted and has been a pain. but the light is bright. maybe not the best option for a bike considering the attatchment device is a sad try at being a secure mount.

This is a nice flashlight, but the bicycle mount IS TOO SMALL to work on either of my bikes. I hope that someone from the company will see this review and redesign the mount. You can always all shims to the inside, but you can't make it larger. Basically, the mount is of VERY POOR design. Therefore, I DO NOT recommend this as a bike light set, you will be disappointed. I have a Jamis bike and a Cannondale Super Six.
