I have an Olde English Bulldogge who sinks like a rock. She does good to tread water at all. Because of this the water is not her friend which is a problem since she goes fishing with me on the boat and I take her to the beach. She has a deep chest and a narrow waist and I stuck to the size chart which said the size she needed could support up to a 70lb dog. That made me nervous because she is around 65-70 lbs. I took the chance and we hit the lake today. Like others said the straps have plenty of room to adjust and I was able to get a good snug fit without a problem. Then before getting in the water I used the lift straps to make sure all would hold. The jacket did great and feels very sturdy and well made letting me lift her with ease. Next we got in the water and to my amazement she started swimming all around the boat. It completely supports her and allows her to float with no effort on hr part. For the price this is an outstanding product that gives me piece of mind that she is safe on the water plus I can now let her cool off in deeper water and lift her back into the boat without hurting her or me. As for her wearing it. She doesnt seem to mind at all and almost seemed to enjoy it. She didnt chew or bite at any part of it and it did not rub or irritate her in any area. She had it on today from 6am to 330pm and showed no signs of being bothered by it. She also did not get hot in it and it actually keep her cool since it stayed nice and damp from being in the water. She has full movement and seemed nice and comfy laying around as I was fishing. Also it is a good color and if she was to fall in it is very high visibility to make a rescue easy. Dont hesitate. This product is well worth the money and more. Update(10-17-14)- Today I went fishing and while on my bass boat my trolling motor took a break. While working on getting it fixed my bulldog went to the back of the boat and got a drink from the lake. While Im sitting with bits and pieces of trolling motor on the front deck I heard a big splash. I look up to see my dog was gone. She is not a ballerina and slipped in to the lake with her clumsy self. Luckily she had on her vest and very calmly bobbed in the water for a second and then began to swim around. I let her take a couple laps around the boat while I got the trolling motor bits safe and then lifted her back on board by the vest straps. If I did not have this vest today I bet I would have had a big mess by needing to move quickly to save my rock of a dog. Also I thought that if she was to get to far from the boat and the fact my trolling motor was down I would have had to either use the main motor to snag her, which would not be very safe, or get wet myself to get her. I am very glad I bought this vest and today it certainly paid for itself. She has used it many times now on the lake and pool. It still looks new and is holding up extremely well. She has yet to protest wearing it and really seems to be confident around the water now.

I have a miniature dachshund who is not very fond of water. I bought him this vest to desensitize him to water and to have peace of mind in case he fell in the pool or the lake where we visit family (I figured even if he panicked at least he would float and not drown). 1. Straps/size - I like the adjustability of the straps. He was quite small when I first got this and I was able to adjust it so he fit snuggly. I was also able to ensure I expanded it as he got slightly bigger. 2. Color - I love the color I chose, very cute! The color slightly diminished and faded over time, but I left it outside multiple times drying off or just because I forgot. 3. Durability - this was pretty durable considering my puppy is still in the teething phase! he chewed on the straps quite a few times before I caught him but honestly they look pretty good still. 4. Performance - this performed pretty well (9.5/10). My only complaint is that sometimes if he was a little heavier that day (too many treats) I did notice he wasn’t staying as above the water as other times. However, I wouldn’t have gone a size up, due to his actual dimensions. If you have a particularly fat pupper who’s pretty small, this may not work for you for that reason. Overall I would definitely recommend! Very cute and helped him get used to the water. He still isn’t a water doxie but one step at a time! It fits my little pug perfectly, much to his dismay. The carry handles are essential for us as it allows us to have full control over our dog and we could loop the leash around it if needed. It kept our dog afloat in the lake, the one issue we had was he kept raising his paws too high to doggy paddle and they would get stuck in his neck hole. This might be a skill issue in our case, as he was quite frantic in the water and definitely not calm. (He was removed from the water shortly after realizing he was not enjoying himself and had a much better time supervising on land. We will try again in a smaller body of water to give him swim lessons. Lol.) But that was why we bought this in the first place, we weren’t confident our 2-braincell having pug wouldn’t drown in shallow water, and we were right so this is a must have for us.

Bought this for my 65 lb German shepherd who is a good swimmer but getting old and doesn’t know when to stop. It fit her perfectly. It is very easy to put on and tighten the straps. There is Velcro to secure the straps in place if you end up needing to tighten them more and have some loose straps. It has a handle on the back and a sturdy metal leash clip thingy, although I wouldn’t attach a leash to this just for safety reasons as it does not apply pressure in the same spots as a walking harness does. The color was true to the picture (we got the green and blue), and it was super cute. It worked great, too. You could tell that she was more buoyant because all of her upper back was out of the water and parallel to it so she wasn’t dragging her behind in the water. The only reason I rated a 4 is because the Velcro on the straps is hard to attach, but you can easily use something else to keep the loose straps in place after you adjust them.

This life vest fits my standard-sized poodle really well. It has multiple adjustment points, which made it easy to get a secure, customized fit. Once it was on, it felt very stable and not bulky. I feel very confident using this with him in the water and it gives me great peace of mind. Overall, very happy with the fit and quality.

Great quality and price! Fits my medium dog perfectly and easy to put on. The handles on the back come on handy to pull her out of the water.

Ordered a size large for my Husky x Malamute, who weighs about 33kg. Fairly good quality but I did notice one of the straps was hard to tighten up as it kept coming loose when adjusting it. The front velcro flap could have been longer, but the underside velcro flap was perfect and offered lots of adjustability. Size was spot on, could have been a little longer in the back but provided extra buoyancy when she was swimming. The colour is also bright making her easier to spot in the water. She had no issues running around or swimming in it, and didn't show any discomfort whilst wearing it. Overall very happy with how quickly it was delivered and found it reasonable value for money.

Por fin un flotador de verdad! Había probado varios chalecos para mi perra y con todos se hundía, ya que es pequeña pero pesa mucho. Este ha sido el único chaleco con el que realmente flota y no tenemos que estar preocupados. La zona del cuello es super importante y buena idea, ya que hace que su cabeza siempre esté sobre el agua.
