This is with a TMobile S5 (not sure if theres a difference)Pros: - slim (slimmer than otterbox) - seems plenty rugged - love the groove by the home button which actually makes the fingerprint scanner usable!! - easier to get to edge of screen than otterbox - cutouts seem nice and big, no obstructions of camera or speaker.... mic hole looks slightly off but seems to work just fine (there is a but here but it will be in the cons) - i like the volume rocker better than otterbox, mine got squishy and only half-responsive towards the end - screen does not seem to obstruct touch in any way. ...i couldnt swype when i first put it on but it seems that was the phone because it's working now.....after a few days it seems that Swype ability comes and goes - charging cover is no more difficult to remove than otterbox, maybe slightly easier but i keep a little length on my nails (yes im a guy, but they come in handy for my work) - most reviews ive read said how difficult it was to get the phone in the case, i disagree. True, i did have to put a little effort in but ultimately it was not as difficult as people claim - i just plain like the feel of it, not as bulky as the otterbox and much lighter, i no longer feel like i can kill someone w my phoneCons (keep in mind these are in my opinion piddly and this is a 4 star review, i really like this case) - 2 pieces instead of 3 (like OtterBox) seems like it might not be as rugged but, like i said earlier, seems rugged enough - when held at the right angle in the right light you either notice an "oil slick" looking area between protector and screen or the grid of dots that cover the protector, this is not noticeable unless you are looking for it or outside in super bright sun and it does not seem to impair use at all - the cutout for the headphone jack is slightly small, only slightly, i used a rather thick plug today and just shoved a little harder and it went in just fine - the power button way too easy to press, this could be the way it lined up when i put the phone in its case or something but sometimes if your finger grazes the area where the button is it asks if you want to turn off the phone - the instructional video they have you refer to to insert the phone could've been a whole lot better, there were a couple things i noticed that helped but for the most part it was garbage, watch the video, get the little tips but mostly use common sense and you'll be fine - the 6 little "feet" on the bottom might have been better if made of rubber or something i dont knowAll in all a solid case for a good price, i will update if i find out anything earthshattering one way or the other. I even tried a couple of flap cases to provide screen protection, but found the flap always got in the way of...well, everything.So, I came across this case. The main selling point for me was how much more front protection it offered over a normal grip type case. Plus, it offered little touches like a cover for the headphone jack.Now, I usually have terrible luck attaching plastic screen protectors, so I went with an "Aerb Premium Samsung Galaxy S5 Ballistic Nano Tempered Glass Screen Protector" instead. That meant peeling out the protector that came with with case (it's glued in to the front frame), cleaning out the sticky goo (kind of like the removable glue the use to hold ad cards inside magazines) and applying the glass screen protector. I didn't want the screen protector to come off when I remove the frame, so I didn't want it stuck to it like the stock protector was. That way, my phone screen is still protected when it's "naked".To be honest, I'd be happy to pay a bit more to get a glass screen protector included instead of the plastic one that is.The case does add some bulk to the phone, but I could still place it in the front pocket of my jeans. However, I can feel it pressing against the bend of my leg when I sit, so I take it out when sitting. It's fine when riding my motorcycle, but uncomfortable in the bucket seats of my car.About the only thing I wish for on something meant to protect instead of being slim is some sort of mounting point for a tether or other type of strap. It could have be integrated into the design fairly easily and would have given users a lot more flexibility when keeping their phone at the ready to take pictures, record video or watch media somewhere that a crowd could jostle the phone out of your hands. The case is almost thick enough to use a Kensington Lock. Even a proprietary system would be fine, assuming replacement tethers were available at a reasonable cost.Edit: I added a photo to compare the thickness of the case compared to the phone. The case does add some thickness, mainly due to the front protection of the bezel, but overall it's not much more than some other grip cases I've used.Second edit: I'm raising my score from 4 to 5 stars. While I still wish the case had some mounting point for a tether, I just tested it out with the Samsung wireless charging back for the S5. It was a tight squeeze but the phone fit with the thicker back. Further, my wireless charging pad had no issues connecting with the phone through the really thick case. For those who might be wondering, I'm using a "RAVPower Dynamo On-the-Go" wireless charger that was recently a Gold Box deal here on Amazon. I can't say how other chargers would do with this case, but the model I have works fine. For me, that's far more important than a tether anchor. Not having to pry open the cap for the charging connector is a huge plus.Again, though, the case is a tight fit with the Qi back and will take some prodding to get it to snap fully back on. Be patient and you'll get it. However, you will absolutely not want to be removing it often. If that's the plan, look for a case that's a bit more roomy.
