Great overview of the progressive thinking in education. A bit unrealistic argument/expectation that new schools should be build to fulfill the requirements of proper learning environment. Limited concentration on how to retrofit already existing physical structures/schools in a relatively fiscally responsible way to fit all those listed requirements. Dreaming is great, but reality requires different kind of invention. Maybe next book will tackle that.

I bought this book for my education methods class before student teaching. I love the layout of the book, very attractive layout! Easier to read, since the text is not in the typical textbook format. The only problem with this book is the binding. The pages started falling out before I was through the first chapter. I took the book to Staples, and they spiral bound it for about $6.

It is a great book but a bit lengthy version of information that already existed out there. It needs to be condensed.

An easy read by format of the role school buildings play in the educational process. A major detractor to the message was the binding of the book, which fell apart before I finished reading it. For the cost, the binding should be better

When you hear the title third teacher it doesn't really make you think of the environment, it seems like it will tell us how to make teaching easuer.

I bought this book for a final paper I had to do and let me tell you it was the best money I had spend all semester. GOOD BOOK. GOOD INFORMATION. AWESOME VISUALS. This book has from top to bottom DESIGN written all over it. From the lettering to the images everything is awesome and interesting. love it :)

Great content! Really formative and all encompassing. But the binding of the book is horrible. Cover started to peel away from the pages with the first opening of it.

This book is an absolute essential to understand the importance of infrastructure and equipment on education projects.

I got a lot out this book. Would recommend to designers and anyone interested in education whether your a teacher or a politician

Il libro nei contenuti è molto interessante, scritto in lingua inglese, tratta di argomenti utili per una riflessione importante tra architettura e pedagogia. Unica nota dolente: la rilegatura. L'ho comprato 2 volte (pagato solo1 perchè dopo la prima volta l'ho rimandato indietro) perchè la rilegatura è molto fragile e dopo averlo sfogliato un pò si scolla tutta.... quindi la copertina viene via. Ma tolto questo, il libro è senz'altro interessante.

Must read for education decision-makers. Teachers might enjoy this but only if they're into resisting the education establishment's penchant to build school buildings to house the most number of children in the smallest amount of space for the least amount of dollars. A great book that represents what is possible when collaborative and creative people combine their efforts to design and build structures that advance learning, excite imagination, instill artistic appreciation, exhibit worthiness, and demonstrate practically that children and their teachers are valued. Should be must-reading for government bureaucrats who nickel and dime education into schooling.

En cuanto a la entrega, el libro llego en perfectas condiciones.Recomiendo mucho este libro para cualquier persona que se encuentre trabajando o tenga el interés del área de educación, sea cual sea la materia en la que se especialice.En lo personal, como diseñador, se me hizo una muy buena guía introductoria para empezar a dedicarme en la docencia y tener un espectro básico de conocimiento sobre lo que implica esta labor.
