This is great stuff, to clear up some confusion, the size stated is before shrinking it is the diameter (circular) not the width laying flat. I just used it for shielding for a harness in my car and worked perfect, nice and thick to help from chafing. I used a heat gun to shrink it not a hair dryer. I was so impressed I ordered 3 more sizes
