The original and best! Beware though. Amazon don't seem to like me warning others about a vastly inferior product called AW root beer (made I think in Belfast NI) which has a terrible sweetener aftertaste. The company making this should be sued by A&W (note the missing ampersand in the name). Get this stuff instead. I only wish Mcdonalds still sold it here.

What can I say, A&W root beer, it doesn't get any better! for an occasional full fat drink (due to sugar content) you can't go wrong with this. All subjective but this is one of my all time favourite soft drinks. Zero alcohol despite being called 'beer'. It tastes absolutely delicious. Not too fizzy either but a nice sparkle to it.

Value for money

I was a bit worried as the packaging was a bit different from the normal A&W root beer I tend to buy myself once a year as a treat, but this is still very tasty, albeit a tiny bit different from the normal A&W I get (that was more expensive than this one so thought I’d give this a go). This A&W root beer is made in Canada (explains why half the can is in English and the other half French!), and seems to be imported direct from there. Obviously it’s not cheap - but for an imported product it’s awesome! The root beer arrived in an Amazon box that seems to be made to fit this exact size so there was no protective packaging, which meant a few of the cans were dinged and dented, luckily I had a great delivery driver who took care of this package - I can imagine that if care isn’t taken with the box during transit, it could cause a leakage due to damage. Anyway… If you’ve never tried root beer (most brits haven’t), it’s like marmite (as in you’ll love it or hate it - not that it tastes like it!) I love it - my wife hates it. She thinks it smells and tastes like antiseptic mouthwash. I think it tastes awesome - I may agree it smells a little antiseptic-y. Just wish it was a little cheaper, and I’d have a constant supply throughout the year - although it’s nice to have it as a special treat once a year. I suppose if I had a constant stream of it I’d probably be the size of a house! :) luckily it’s caffeine free!!! When we go to America I tend to have a different brand, although that’s banned here in the UK due to too much of a certain additive in it! Be warned it is a polarising smell and taste - but it’s lovely! :) If you’re a fan of root beer, I’d definitely recommend it - if you’ve never tried it before, it might be worth trying someone else’s first as it really can be a love it or hate it drink! Of course you could always take the gamble that you may like it! :)

Definitely an acquired taste! Had tried another version which is available in the UK market and had a slightly more vanilla flavour to it. Prefer this one. Would make an excellent ice cream float.

Llegó el producto en buen estado y a tiempo

c'est ce que je buvais lors de mon voyage au canada, une tres bonne racinette, un gout unique, pas chere quand je l'ai commandé mais là ca devient difficile d'en ravoir.

Juste une des meilleures boisson du monde pour moi. Je sais que ça a un goût spécial, mais j'adore.

Desde hace muchos años me ha gustado la cerveza de raíz. Sobre todo de esta marca A&W. Sin embargo se ha vuelto difícil conseguir esta bebida en México. Pero gracias a Amazon la puedo disfrutar de nuevo.

Nous avons fait notre voyage de noces au Québec au mois de Septembre de cette année. Suite à une pénurie de bière un soir dans un parc national nous avons seulement trouvé de la racinette au dépanneur. Dubitatif au début, totalement accro après. Quel bonheur de retrouver le goût de ce soda inimitable, un mélange de soda et de médicament. C'est indescriptible tellement c'est bon. Nous sommes heureux d'en retrouver si facilement par Amazon. Livré en pack de 12 s'est parfait, point bonus le chat adore jouer avec le carton du pack ;)
