Coraline Bendy Doll in Rain Coat

This doll was great. It has so many cool features. The hair looks super good. The cult looks like it came out of the movie. The doll is just great. Five stars.

I went to see Coraline in the theaters with my friend, and we both loved it! We could'nt stop laughing, and when my dad showed me the doll one morning, I was so excited to get her as a doll! Everything about Coraline is really cool because when you put her in the sun it looks like her hair is glowing! Her rain coat is made really well and her hood fits perfectly over her head and her boots even have a little bit of mud on them! There is no shirt underneth her rain coat so if you want one you will have to find one on your own. You might have read in other reviews that you can take off her face and there is a skull underneath. Really underneath is just the inside of her head. You can move her eyes but be careful because you could scratch the paint off her eyes. Her body is sort of hard to move at first but, she will loosen up. She is really skinny so it might be easy to brake her, so I wouldn't recommend her for anyone under 10 years old. Coraline is my favorite doll I have, because of all her unique features and I can't wait to get the other Coraline bendy dolls! The above paragraph was written by my 10 year old daughter. Very nice toy my little girl loved it

This is a great doll, and she is poseable. I was very excited to get her, because I wanted to collect all four of the dolls. Unfortunately, when I received her in the mail, there was no stand in the box. The main reason this upset me was that I was expecting one to be included, because every other raincoat doll came with one. So most likely, the others should have a stand. This doll also has very great details. She has "mud" on her boots, and drawstrings on her raincoat. Her raincoat is also made of actual raincoat material. She has no shirt under her raincoat, but at least this makes her raincoat look more natural. Her blue jeans have pockets and can be taken off. Her hair is plastic and it shows each strand, and she even has her little firefly barrette. She has freckles under her eyes and you can change her eye position if you take her face off. I couldn't manage to get her face off, and I didn't want to force it off because I was afraid I would break her neck. Her nose is sort of pointy, so the paint on it can rub off easily. Her hands and feet can pop on and off, which makes it easier to twist the hand around and change its positioning. Her arms and legs are made out of iron thread, which makes her bendable. However, if you bend her too much they could snap off. She also has little holes on her back side where common joints would be (elbows and knees), which make it safer and easier to bend. Her facial expression is different from the picture shown, though I like the dolls expression much more than the one in the picture. Over all, I think this is a great doll and I really like her. I recommend her for ages 10 and older, because she is sort of fragile. I think she was worth her price and I would definitely buy the other 3.

Brand: NECO Model: Coraline Bendy Doll in Raincoat Doll: Durability: The bendy joints are all fairly sturdy. I have posed and reposed this doll and she does not seem to be wearing out at all. Posability: VERY poseable. She can pretty much pose in any way I've wanted her to. On top of that, her faceplate is removable, so you can reposition her eyes as well. Clothes: Coraline comes with a rain slicker, which is quite well made, a pair of jeans, also well made and a pair of plastic rain boots (there are no feet inside, they attach with the peg system). The boots are amazing in detail. My only complaint is that she isn't wearing a shirt under the raincoat... which seems a little creepy to me, lol! Makeup: Here is my one and only complaint about this doll... and it's a pretty big one. Her facepaint chips. Easily. This doll was shipped to me with the paint on her nose already chipped off and a huge scratch in her eyebrow. When I contacted the supplier to complain, they had the gall to tell me the doll was *supposed* to look like that. What had happened was, their entire shipment from NECO arrived that way and they just assumed the doll was supposed to look like that (which... considering it's a huge, rubbed off, dark spot on the tip of her nose... seems a little unbelievable to me). The supplier I bought it from was quick to remedy matters... however, I emailed NECO about the quality of the facepaint and NEVER heard back from them... leading me to believe that they don't care if they're selling an inferior product. Based on their lack of response... I would never recommend anyone buy from them. Hair: This is one of the coolest parts of the doll. She has a semi-clear blue plastic head of hair that is remarkably reminiscent of the movie. Truly a stroke of brilliance, deciding to go with that type of plastic. Accessories: No accessories Packaging: Style: Simple, straight forward, but not very effective in protecting the doll's delicate faceup. Coraline comes in a rectangular box with a window front... which unfortunately is so close to the dolls face that in shipping it is inevitably pressed inwards and rubs the paint off the tip of her nose. Ease of Opening: Very easy Price: I paid $12.99 for this doll, and you can find her on Amazon ranging from $11-$22. Based on the quality of the paint job on the face, I would recommend not spending too much on one. Overall: I wouldn't recommend buying this doll if you're bothered by her having a huge black spot on the tip of her nose. It's sad really, because otherwise, this is a truly amazing product. The doll is ADORABLE, the poseable eyes are really neat, she *really* looks like the movie version... and yet... there's that glaring flaw, right on the tip of her nose. Not only that, but I am totally turned off by the fact that NECO did not respond to my email about a flawed product. To me, that just says they don't care that they're selling inferior product. I can't promote a company that won't stand by their own product, and make sure the customer is getting a quality piece of work.

This is a fabulous collectors item. The detail on it is incredible and is an exact replica of the films own models. There is an eye area of the face which comes off so that you can adjust the eyes to create some quirky expressions on Coraline. The limbs are bendy too, and it is extremely well made. I bought this for my daughter as she is a huge fan of the film. She hasn't put it down since. It was hard to find this product initially, but it is worth spending the money if you love the film.
