Extra large - robust enough for a strong dog
Really pleased with this purchase after searching around for a travel crate to take a 27kg dog. The extra large size is just slightly smaller than his usual metal crate but he was happy to travel and sleep in it, we used a blanket over the top to cover the mesh at night. The carrier has good handles for moving around and a really strong frame. It was super easy to put together - just 2 simple spring rods – and folds down flat when not in use. There are 2 opening sides, with a zipped mesh cover and one at the top. The zips are quite tight - need a bit of care when closing to ensure the mesh/zip is not under stress. There is a thinnish fleece bed pad but we added one of our own beds for extra padding and familiarity. Overall, great quality for the price.

XL Pet Carrier
I bought this just over a month ago and wanted to give it a good trial before I review. I got the XL to take my two Jack Russell size dogs in our motorhome. My first observations were that the mesh and the associated zips seem quite delicate. I also found that putting together the two horizontal struts that make it a box from its folded away condition were difficult to operate, they have a spring loaded cup into which the end of one strut locates, but it has to pull the fabric of the box tight. That said, it performs brilliantly. The two dogs, not good travellers, settle down as soon as I put them in it. It's roomy enough for them so they can get up and the supplied cushion is comfortable, especially as it sits on one of the MH bench seats. The two struts get easier each time to connect, so I am no longer concerned. I've found that both the zips and mesh are adequate, but one needs to be gentle. It's easy both to fold away and store, and to quickly erect. For me, this has been a great buy. I no longer have two stressed dogs and I don't have to worry if they've tied each other up. And I can't knock the price as it is very well made, if a tad delicate.

Nice crate with easy access
The crate I ordered was a good size for my requirements with a handy bag to use for storage. It came with a liner, and the entire crate appears durable and well made. I like that I have the ability to have most sides and the top open to allow easy access if required for both myself and my dog.Whilst my dog is small I will happily carry him using the handles but once pups weight increases I wouldn't be quite so keen to trust the handles to support the weight. The crate is mostly used for nighttime sleeping and the netting has held up to being both chewed and scratched. Pressure on the netting has on a couple of occasions pushed out the teeth of the zip allowing the netting to open up but this has easily been remedied by realigning/rezipping the edges. The colour of the crate is lighter then it appears in the photos, mine is more of a lilac colour but is still nice.Unlike other reviewers I struggled to put the telescopic rods together. Even when I did manage to insert one into the other it took a lot of effort to make them align properly. It certainly wasn't as easy as stated & whilst I appreciate it is important to ensure stability there must be an easier way to work the mechanism for those with less dexterity then others.

Sturdy Easy to put together travel crate
This crate does the job and easy to put together I bought medium size fits in the car seat I use the seat belts to secure. Fits our puppy age 4 months cocker spaniel. Lightweight to transport. More expensive than sone but worth it

Surprisingly good for the price
We traveled for 13.5 hours with another crate that a friend gave me, which was great, but my puppy then chewed the zip once we arrived so we were no longer able to close it! We needed one to travel home again to prevent her chewing our belongings. I ordered this based on the reviews and I’m glad I did. The only downside at the moment is that it absolutely stinks!! I’m going to leave it outside overnight to give it some fresh air. Hopefully we can get rid of the smell before our 13.5 hour trip home!! My puppy liked the look of it so much she got straight in it and she’s still there an hour later! The pad that comes in it is very flimsy which doesn’t bother me as we use vet beds anyway, but within 20 seconds of getting in she had chewed a chunk of the fleece from the mat, so now there’s a bald patch! So if you have a chewy puppy, pop another blanket or bed in there. It also has a handy wee bag hanging off the end which would be big enough to store poo bags, some treats, a toy, maybe a small water bottle too. There’s also another pouch on the top which would store some more essentials. Very handy when doing a long journey to have all the bits they need close to hand. Some reviewers say that their dog scrabbled straight through the netting and this would happen if your dog isn’t used to or doesn’t like a crate. Ours is already used to and loves her metal crate in the house, plus I practiced shorter journeys with treats and a nice walk at the end so that she’d be happy in her travel crate. So that’s a training issue; it’s a travel crate after all, not a metal one, so it is definitely possible to rip it if you have a determined puppy/dog. If your dog is scrabbling then they’re not happy and probably shouldn’t be in there in the first place. It’s a fairly heavy-weight canvas and very well made so, for the money, I’m impressed.Would highly recommend and would buy again.

Easy to store when not in use
Great travel crate for taking on holiday. My spaniel fits the space comfortably. It is easy to use, assembly takes seconds. The doors are sturdy enough to give him security, and visibility is good, I can see what he's getting up to. Its easy to clean, just wipe down. It does the job.

Not suitable for normal dogs
Used once for less than a mile trip, dog managed to open zips on two panels and escape. Probably not the best dog carrier even if your dog isn’t related to Harry Houdini
