My son wanted this set for his birthday, and it's a great value for what you get, but it is harder to assemble than I expected (more difficult than the Lego brand sets we've used). The larger truck in particular uses a lot of little 1-square flat pieces or other small or oddly shaped pieces rather than larger pieces that would be more tailored to that particular vehicle. Once you build it, you will not want to take it apart to use the pieces for anything else because it just takes too much work to build (it took me a few hours I think with my son "helping" a tiny bit to sort pieces because it was just too tough and time consuming for him). You cannot build all of the vehicles at the same time with this set. Either you can build all the little vehicles (their blocks come separated into different bags for each vehicle) OR you can use nearly all the blocks to build the police station and the big truck. My mom wound up buying us a duplicate of this set so that my son could build all of the little vehicles too without disassembling the big one, and I'm so glad she did. I would not have wanted to take that big truck apart; my son loves having all of the vehicles to play with together; and having the second set also helped for the 2-3 small pieces that we couldn't find in the one set (we might have lost them). The smaller vehicles are mostly easier to assemble than the big one (largely because their pieces are separated out in individual bags so that you aren't dealing with so many pieces at once), but they don't all stay together as easily as one would hope or expect. Still, it's a good set. My son loves it. Just don't expect it to be easy to put together.

I bought the city police and the patrol boat sets for my 9 year olds. They are avid Lego fans, but we decided to give these a try. They've loved them! The sets each came with about 8 mini figures. The directions are good and easy to follow. Some pieces were hard to snap together but not too many. They actually told me that they like that the pieces hold together better than Legos because the finished pieces don't fall apart as much when they are playing with them. The only downside I see is that once you put the stickers on the small vehicles you can longer use those blocks for the big boat/or command center bc some stickers cover a few blocks at once. My boys don't care though and are saving their money for another set! We hope you make more sets because we're eventually going to buy them all! These are a great value compared to Legos.

We’ll, it is a good value. And it is not LEGO... I love LEGO because my 5 years old can put together a LEGO set for 7 years old following instructions with no help from me. In the meantime I can catch up with my cleaning, laundry etc... I bought this bucket hoping I can win a few hours. I was wrong as the instructions are SO confusing for him- he could not understand or build anything by himself. We built a few pieces together and finally he lost interest and we never even finished last two cars - maybe one day... Previous reviews are correct also about flimsy structures and pieces that do not click- but I was prepared for that. For me the instructions were a disappointment.If you are looking for something that you can built together for a few hours though, it’s not a bad deal. Good value for sure. Don’t get frustrated about pieces as at the end you get surprisingly sturdy car/boat/plane.As for me - I would not give it as a gift or buy similar product again.

Complete and utter junk. Want to watch a little boy cry after he builds his Legos and barely makes it move and the whole thing falls apart. I should’ve known when we started building it that it was going to be a nightmare. When two grown people can’t build one of these and make it stay together, then it goes in the trash. I looked at my grandson and I said why don’t we just hot glue it once we get the pieces to stay together. He made a good point well then what’s the fun of it because I can’t really take it apart and build it again. Guess where the rest of these pieces are going? Yep, in the garbage. .Would have attached a picture but all you would’ve seen was a pile of Lego pieces that didn’t stay together. I know these aren’t the real Legos but at least they should be able to hold up to even form the shape of what the pictures show.Maybe I should give it two stars because the bucket is pretty cool. LOL

Pro: good quality, low price, and better manual instruction than lego'sCon: misleading picture - the big truck and the station pull all the pieces from the smaller sets. Also figurines are not included.At this price for 1100 pieces and with quality on par with lego brand, I find it a damn good bargain. I finished 8 out of the 9 manuals and the pieces in the bin picture shows how many pieces are left. At that point, I didn't find any missing pieces for the ones I completed, but there were obviously no more packs to open for the last manual. I contacted the seller and they explained that the 1100-piece makes either the 8 smaller sets or the 2 big ones (the last manual), apologized for the confusion and sent me another set altogether.Overall I definitely will recommend this to anyone not brand loyal to lego. They look good and feel the same as my lego ones. BUT FOR 1/6 OF THE PRICE!

My daughter is a big fan of LEGO City series. She has all Police sets from LEGO City line, and wants to have more. So, I decide to purchase this third party brick set for her. It is a little bit difficult for her to complete everything by herself, because the set has over 1,000 pieces. But it is really fun, since there are so many ways to build different cars, planes, boats within one set. It took us 2 weeks to complete the biggest one. My daughter really loves it. The bricks are exchangeable with other LEGO sets.
