Its a filter. It filters like it should
I normally buy the base Fram because I do my oil changes exactly when my Civic tells me to. This one happened to be on sale the day I ordered. I have never had any issues with Fram filters. They are easy to put on, easy to take off and do the job as a filter. Never had any issues with any of my Honda engines either. 3 Civics, 3 Fits, Odyssey, CRV, and a Passport have all used Fram filters without issue. All but the Passport had/have more than 100K miles. These are great filters at a reasonable price. Here is the thing - you only need the "ultra strength" filters if you are going to go way too long between oil changes. If you are doing your changes regularly, the "base" model will do all the filtering needed to protect your engine. If this is on sale, get it. If not, get the orange one!

Great oil filter especially for the price
Easy installation, great value and high quality. I never push it to the 15k as advertised but every 3 to 5k they hold up well. Easy to remove and install. Will keep using.

It's Fram: it fits and works.
It fits. It's Fram. That's pretty much the extent of things. I do have to say, I love the rhino lining dip that helps gripping it when it's time to remove.

My Go-To for Oil Filters FRAM
Too bad FRAM filed for bankruptcy. This was a brand that had become my go. to as far as oil filters on any car that I owned. Always worked perfectly for me without issue.

Good Product But What was Dodge Thinking?
I'll give it full stars because FRAM is just producing a product to spec that Dodge created (as far as I know, I'm not a mechanic). But this type of oil filter is a pain in the rear. It's kind of a pain to get out, and the o-ring replacement is just stupid. It's just a painfully stupid design. This was for my wife's 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan, which I do the oil changes on, but I seriously hate replacing this oil filter. I have to move the stupid air flow stuff (or whatever it's called) and use a special sized socket I had to buy, because none of them - in my two sets of sockets - were big enough or the right size. I have to put an extender on the wrench so that my wrench can be high enough to actually move because they buried this filter down in there. Then I pull the oil filter out, manage to get the o-ring on the new one, which honestly isn't horrible but why isn't it built into the filter? Why is it a separate piece? At any rate, then I have put everything back. It's like a 10 minute job to replace a little oil filter. You know how long it takes me to replace the oil filter in my Subaru? Like 60 seconds tops. I unscrew it, all one piece. Dab some oil on the ring (built in) on the new one and screw it in. Seriously, 60 seconds is probably too long. Who is designing these Dodge Caravans? Good grief it's a pain! Put the stuff you need and get access to frequently up front and high. Design it for easy access and maintenance. Really the product is great! It's high quality. It's FRAM and you can't go wrong. 5 stars!! I'm just obviously complaining more about Dodge's horrible design for access to standard maintenance.

Good Product.
Some people are critical of using Fram filters claiming they are cheaply made. That may be true of the internal construction when compared to other brands. Still, I base my opinion on actual use and track record. Over the years I've used Fram products for all my vehicles and have never had an issue. They make a good product.
