Real hair but a few strands melted
I think some of the chemical process it went through was rough and adding heat to it melted the hair.

Cosmetolgy in training
The hair is nice but it is not real hair! I was ironing the hair at 300 and it started to fall out ! its good for updo styling and colorist but not ironing or tools

Deceiving & Quality is Bad
I gave a two star rating just for giving them credit for making the mannequin but as far as quality I am sad to say I do not recommend purchasing this mannequin. Number one the hair is thin, the picture they use is deceiving. I am a hairdresser I purchased the mannequin for updo's and because the hair is so thin I can not achieve the look for any style I try to do. Number two, this is not 100% human hair, it may be mixed with human hair but the entire head is not 100% human hair. I noticed when I saw the melted fibers they use on my iron after I curled the hair. Hair companies have a tendency to market their products saying they use 100% human hair but won't specify that they also use a blend of humanlike fibers. I know because I worked for a hair company. Number three it sheds a lot. I lightly brush the hair or after I am done doing a simple style there is hair all over the floor and working space. I am not happy with this purchase, I feel like now I have to waste time and go through the whole return process when I could of had the right mannequin but because their ad said it is suitable for updos and the picture looked like the hair is thick I took a chance. Don't waste your time, keep searching, the quality of this hair is no good honestly.

For your first practice head, its good.
This is the first mannequin I bought with my own money. I think its nice that it comes with a stand. I did have to trim like 5 inches off mine as soon as I got it because it was thin on the ends. Its a good mannequin to chop up for practice but if you are trying to cut bangs and get them to stay, I probably would look for a more professional mannequin

Not good for color... great for cuts!
The hair isn’t bad, which is why I gave it a 3 but this is NOT 100% human hair. My guess is it’s a blend because I used a semi permanent with no developer to get this rainbow color and there were strands that did not take, but overall you see the color did take well. I’m in cosmetology school so I can assure you this hair would not last if you plan to use it for color ( mine is already fried after lightening it and coloring it with the semi permanent dyes ). This would be great for styling and cutting practice though!

Hair started melting while I curled it but other than that it’s great for practicing braids

Wonderful
Its probably my favorite mannequin that I have. When it first arrived, the hair was just as long as advertised and very thick too. The hair lays nicely and it's easy to cut. the face is beautiful and it's got these cool 3D eyes. It's very distinct and I'm the only one at my cosmetology school with this kind so I know which one is mine. It's honestly a miracle I found a mannequin like this one because lots of the other ones I've gotten online were either thinning or the length of the hair was much shorter than they said it would be. Very reasonable price. 10/10 would recommend.
