For a mount like this, there are so many options to choose from it's hard to pick one. The sliding/adjustable concept is why I chose it and it did not disappoint. It allows for a little wiggle room if your wall mounts aren't perfectly placed. That being said, this was still a measure thrice, cut once situation. Minus one star on install for the supplied template (bose 500), it's not perfectly to scale. Each bracket has two holes for the wall anchors and the template works for those measurements. Do NOT use the template to mark the distance between the brackets. Grab your level, pencil, and measuring tape. The best part is the sliding feature. It allows you to easily set up the wiring and placement of the soundbar before you tighten it down. Take your time with the wall anchors, you'll need a drill bit that's slightly smaller than the diameter of the anchor. If you drill a hole that's too small, the anchor will start to deform when you start tapping it in. The last detail is drilling the hole for your wires. I temporarily mounted the soundbar and marked a few spots on the wall to make sure the hole was centered. I gradually increased the size of the hole until I could pull the wires through. I took my time, trying to keep the hole as small as possible so it wouldn't be visible. With some additional cable management, it took about 1.5 hours taking my time.
