Review: Black ink pasta - I was pleasantly surprised. The water smelled like the sea when I put the pasta in but stopped after a few minutes. As I drained the pasta it smelled like the sea. My kids and I liked it. It tasted just like regular spaghetti. I'll use it with my cooking class next year.

**Q: How many 12 yr boys can one bag feed?**
A: It’s just like regular spaghetti.

**Q: Does anybody know what is put on the black pasta to make it gold black and gold spaghetti?**
A: Black and gold can mean several things. it can simply be a mix of squid or cuttlefish ink black pasta and the equivalent shape normal pasta. if you make your own pasta you can color it with spinach juice for green, beet for red, saffron for a beautiful golden/orange, or of course squid or cuttlefish/sepia ink. Or  you can bed the squid ink pasta on a golden sauce, or top with golden pesto say of  garlic, yellow pepper and yellow tomato. Get the water out of the tomato and the skin off the pepper

**Q: What kind of sauce should serve with it?**
A: The seafood flavor kind of leaves when you cook it, so probably anything you'd put on regular spaghetti. I found a nice recipe somewhere with a white wine sauce, parsley, tomatoes and it was really good with shrimp and scallops too, can't remember what it was called though.
