If you're looking for a sauce that can stand on its own in a stir-fried Thai-style dinner, you'll probably be sorely disappointed by this. By itself, it tastes like spicy anchovy water, and even though that might sound like a sweet burn you'll notice that I still gave it four stars in this review. That's because it's an excellent addition to a sauce if you're making your own from scratch. If you're a creative cook, you'll know exactly what to do with it as soon as you taste it, but if you try to use this as the only sauce I think you'll be sad about the outcome. That being said, if you do like it on its own, adding a solid drizzle of honey or a couple of spoonfuls of sugar will help balance it out a lot. I really like this as an ingredient in a sauce, but in my opinion it's not a good sauce on its own.

the consistantcy is alittle bit thinner then ketup tastes spicy but not over powering spice good quality sauce for a very resonable price
