Beautiful UHD 4K upscaling.
Back lit remote well laid out. Impressive 2160p upscaling to new Seiki Ultra High Definition 4K TV. I had a question for Samsung support by telephone but they did not have this model in their system and could not help, though I easily registered this player online at Samsung. It is important to have the latest HDMI 2.0 cable to connect between an UHD 4k TV and the player in order to obtain the full beauty of the source material. I purchased a 6ft and 25ft Mediabridge cables from Amazon for a very reasonable price.I am only using this unit for Blu-Ray movies and it is not connected to a network now. Easy to skip the beginning trailers of movies by pressing Disk Menu. Quick responses in loading a disk and responding to input from the remote. Unfortunately, the time display on the front only displays Hour:Minute after one hour instead of Hour:Minute:Second. Pixelization is non existent. Best picture I have ever seen on any flat screen with Blu-Ray.

Works as expected
Purchased the unit to allow dual HDMI ports, one to TV and one to Stereo. And to get a web browser. Everything works as advertised. Impressive.Pros: Has a full range of supported useful apps beyond the usual Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Youtube. I use the Berlin Philharmonic app to provide HD and full sound thru my Stereo system. And I like having a weather app handy. You can tailor the app menu to just what you use - except for being stuck with a shopping app and an on-demand movie app apparently both bundled into the unit. This is in sharp contrast to my other Sony BD player that has tons of unused apps you need to scroll thru to get to what you want.Cons: The remote only controls Samsung TVs compared to other brands that support mix and match that I prefer. The USB plug is at the extreme right on the unit instead of the middle area. This means I have to open my cabinetry to get a clear shot when using the keyboard for data entry. And the supplied YouTube, Amazon and Netflix apps are inferior to my 4 year old Sony that use row/col, 2D displays to improve navigation time thru your lists. Since I use these 3 apps regularly I reduced my rating from 5 to 4 stars.

Sweet Interface :)
I bought this and a Panasonic one. Both because of features and that they matched the TV's they were going with so limited remote use (always lose them). This one has a way better interface than the Pan. I absolutely love it! everyone once in a while a video will pause but its a rare and hey your streaming, when doesn't streaming have mess ups. The only negative which may not be a negative is that the buttons on the machine it self don't work. BUT it bought from the outlet and havent checked to see if the previous owners locked the buttons from kids, which really is nice cause i never have to worry about my kids putting movies in or out :) overall it rocks and is way better than the pan :) pan has viera connect which is nice cause the unit is in another room and i control it from the tv via viera :)

Easy install and incredible color and audio
The Samsung BD-F6700 DVD player arrived one day after my television purchase (Samsung 65F 8000 LED). The television picture was fantastic with DirecTV. I was hoping that the DVD player would provide a picture and audio that was not degraded. The set up was easy and the software update was quick. I received the Blu-ray "All is Lost" which is a Redford movie about a lot of things going wrong on a sail boat. The picture was so good that any higher resolution would have made it look animated. The DTS-HD audio made the ocean seem to be in the room. In short it is (I feel) the best bargain in a quality 4K upscaling 3D Wi-Fi Blu-ray Disc Player.

hmmm
i usually love samsung products. i'm not sure if i got a lemon, or what the problem was here - but it was SUPER-laggy to toggle around, remote was not user friendly and often had to be pointed a certain way just to be read, and load times for streaming were very slow. even with a fast internet connection, for some reason, it tended to freeze and need to be shut off. i'd recommend shelling out the extra money if you have it and going for the samsung BD-F7500 instead. Or getting a Roku 3 and a dedicated Blu-ray player.

Bluray player stopped working after a few months
When I first purchased this DVD player, I enjoyed it and it worked well. Then soon after I purchased it, the buttons on this bluray player stopped working which forced me to always use the remote. I felt like this might be the sign of more issues to come so I replaced it through Amazon and received another one.Less than 4 months after receiving the second one, the bluray player started to turn off automatically while streaming and then buttons on the bluray player stopped working with this one as well. Now this bluray player will not even connect to the wireless. After going through 2 of these, this bluray plyer seems to not have been made very well. I recommend you not buy. If necessary, pay more for a product that will last a lot longer than a couple of months.

Good while it lasts!
Bought this last year and now I'm back at Amazon looking for a replacement. Decent unit while it lasts but that's only about a year or so. This is the second Samsung DVD that died not long after purchase.Started to lockup constantly then skip and stutter picture. Upscaling no longer works, picture very grainy. The external buttons no longer work so I'm replacing it before the remote goes out next.It was $150 when I bought it and I expect more than a years service out of it. NEVER again will I purchase a Samsung product!!

Great Player
Has everything you need for a Blu-Ray player. Only issue I have is what seems to be the current Samsung standard with accessing network folders/files: why do I have to go through so may steps jsut to get to a first-level folder? The older Samsung products were much better: select "videos" and it took me right to the directory containing my videos. It seems like I have to take 3-4 steps just to get to my video folder. Also, I like the idea of having a USB input on this unit and I see the benefit of having it on the front of the unit for quick connect/disconnect; however, would love to have one on the back since I prefer my external drives to be hidden.Otherwise, great unit...plenty of apps I don't use.
