Does the job well
Used it for dry hopping and worked well. Enough room for hops to expand and for liquid to circulate through hops. Lid is a little flimsy.

Good bye mesh hop bags
I love this thing. Easy to fill, easy to clean, you can fit like 6 oz of hops if you need to, and dry hopping in the corny keg is easy and painless. I just tied a bit of dental floss to the ring on top and then dropped it in. If you use those stupid nylon mesh bags or those little mesh tea ball things, buy this and throw those things in the trash.

Recommend.
The size makes it work exactly how we need it to for bulk batches, that makes clean up quicker, easier & infused flavors stronger, because the amount of ingredients we can fit in it. 👍

Seals great, but no mesh covering holes on lid
The product is great so far. It's sitting in my keg right now for dry hopping. I was able to tie some dental floss to the top loop and it naturally wants to sink so at the moment it is suspended in the middle of the keg. The top closed tightly and does not want to come off. It is a threaded top, so you do have to twist it to make sure it seats all the way. The only problem I have found is that the holes in the top of the lid DO NOT have the mesh over the top of them. The holes are rather small, but since this was going in my keg and I had no way to filter, I decided to use caution and placed a coffee filter on the underside of the lid. Probably less of a problem for dry hopping and more of one if it's in a boil and being tossed around.

Great for containing both pellet and leaf hops
I used to put hops in my wort using a nylon bag because I did not want the hops to clog up the drain or the screen. This Hop Spider allows me to do the same but is reusable over and over again. I take the hops out, dump the hops in a garbage bag, rinse out whatever is left, and hang dry for the next beer brewing session. The stainless steel construction is very solid and I would reorder the same item if I need to replace my current Hop Spider.

Where has this been?
I have been home brewing since 2014 and dry hopping in a nylon bag. This is so much easier to clean and add multiple additions. I ended up purchasing 2 of these, one for each of my Speidel Fermenters - 30L.

Great item for the price
This works great! A bit of a pain to pull it out of hot wort to add hops but worth it. All thats left in the bottom of the boil kettle is the cold break resulting in cleaner wort moving into the fermenter. Works great for dry hopping (unless you're using carboys). Beer clears faster in the fermenter and allows for cleaner yeast pulls.

side by side results
The filter works pretty good. Used in my kettle during brew, haven’t tried for dry hopping yet. Was difficult to navigate numerous hop additions because of the heat, boiling water, and screw off lid... however when you see the pics of the two brews we did.... it will be very evident that it does a great job filtering the sediment.
