Great books that can grow with your child.
We love these National Geographic Books and this bug book is one of our favorites! It has beautiful illustrations and lots of information about bugs. My 3 year old loves looking at the pictures and naming the bugs. It has great nonfiction features such as labels and charts that will keep her interested as she grows as a reader. Highly recommend this book!

LOVE these as does my son
My son is very obsessed with these books he has them all! They’re very educational and have lots of bright images and even questions that get your kid interacting. My son has us read one in bed every night he is 3 years old.

Educational
Son loves it. Definitely can be used for kids that don’t read yet but most beneficial for those who can. Lots of fun facts.

Importance of bugs.
I bought this for my young niece. She enjoyed looking at the pictures and is slowly learning about the importance of each insect.

My 5-year-old Grandson Loves This!
This was a birthday present for my (now 5-year-old) grandson. When it arrived and I looked though it I thought maybe it was a bit too much for him to take in, but other books on the subject were too babyish. When he opened this he lost interest in his other presents and wanted to look at every page! We had to remind him that he had other presents to open -- I also got him a bug study / collecting set. The book has really beautiful photos of many different insects and spiders, and is well organized. It also has just enough information to keep him interested for a couple of years, and I'm sure he will be trying to identify the bugs he finds in his yard. By next year his little brother will probably be old enough to be interested too and they'll have a great time hunting in the yard!

Great first bug book
Purchased for my 2.5 year old daughter to read as spring approached. This book has a lot of good, close-up photos and easy to read text (sometimes the text is too simple as kids will have lots of questions!). There is a good variety of common and uncommon bugs. There are several activity pages with puzzles, matching, etc., which help keep kids engaged.Overall, studying this book together has fostered my daughter's curiosity and decreased her apprehension of insects so I'm very satisfied with this purchase.I took one star off because the binding looks weak and I expect that the pages may start to fall off soon, which is disappointing.
