The best is still the best!
I have been using Voit Duck Feet since the mid 1960's when they were 2 tone blue and made in Malaysia. I had one pair that despite regular use lasted 25 years. I could not believe it! The fin that never died! Since then there have been changes in both the ownership of the company and the country in which the fins are manufactured. Somewhere in the mid 1990's I replaced my pair from the 60's or 70's and was very disappointed with the replacement Duck Feet fins: the inside of the foot box was rough, not soft and smooth as they were originally, and they tore up the tops of my toes! I noticed that the "bad" pair were made in Mexico. I have nothing against "Made in Mexico", but is ain't Malaysia, the rubber capital of the world! I returned the fins and tried to find a better Boogie Boarding fin; I couldn't, so I quit Boogie Boarding! I never found a better body surfing/Boogie boarding fin. Heck, they even work well for snorkeling. They are THE number 1 choice of So Cal beach lifeguards. Some people like Churchill Fins but I am definitely not one of them; they lack the thrust I use to chase down a wave. Well, I am pleased to say that Duck Feet are back, and back in a big way: new super smooth/soft foot box, softer yet still powerful fin blade, and best of all they are once again Made in Malaysia, They are ideal for use in body surfing and boogie boarding . . .but your legs must be in shape to use them and your feet must be conditioned as well. They are not intended for use with SCUBA gear and lack the necessary stiffness to allow the user to swim around with a tank. For SCUBA there are many better choices, such as UDT Duck Feet and a host of others. If you plan to use them, remember, the people that like these fins tend to have very fit legs and well conditioned feet, especially if they use them often for that which they are intended. It is not uncommon to have some foot pain when conditioning your feet to use these fins; this usually goes away with repeated use. Give them a try, but remember, you may need to use them in a pool first to condition your feet and strengthen your legs. I bring them to a pool or beach and over the course of 2 to 4 weeks gradually increase the distance and force with which I kick... thereby avoiding toe blisters . Do it right and you'll love them, I sure do! Finally, FYI: They do not float in salt water!

Great fins, but here's the catch...
I used to recommend these fins as a cheap alternative to the original UDT's for bodysurfing, but I just can't anymore for two reasons. The first reason won't hold up for everyone: these fit extremely narrow. I have a size 10 foot, normal width, but I had to get the X-larges just to get one that didn't cause me to cramp up because they have such a narrow foot pocket. As a result, they're way too long and the straps will move around too much during use, which in turn will result in quite a bit of chafing and rubbing. The other duck feet, UDT's, do not have this sizing issue. I bought for my shoe size and they work and fit perfectly. The second reason is that they just aren't very cheap anymore. With shipping, these are around 50 bucks now, and the original UDT's are only 70 dollars, give or take. Back when UDT's were nearly impossible to get a hold of, the regular voit duck feet were retailing for around 25 dollars, give or take. But the UDT"s are a lot easier to get now. It used to be that if you wanted a pair of them, you had to email a guy out in Ca who'd bought the molds and request them. The waiting list was long and wait times stretched out for months, if the guy was even taking new orders. Now, you can get them here on Amazon. So given that the UDT"s are far superior, and the only reasons there ever were to get these duck feet aren't very compelling anymore, I'd have to say don't bother. Save up another 20 or 25 bucks and get the original UDT's. You won't be disappointed. As far as their performance goes, these are fine if your foot isn't too wide. I use them for work (lifeguarding) because I wouldn't get upset if they got lost or damaged, and they get the job done. They provide thrust and velocity very similar to the UDT's.*final note: if you order these, you will not get the ones pictured above. I believe those are the older models. The ones I received (both from Dicks sporting goods and here on Amazon) are also blue and green, but different, and with more flexible blades, though it doesn't seem to have reduced the overall feel of the fin in the water.

As good as the originals from 20+ years ago
I agree with many of the other reviews. These are as good as the originals from decades ago -- high quality rubber, look really good, and work amazingly well. I have a pair or Churchill Makapu fins also, which are also outstanding for boogie boarding. Buy either one and you won't go wrong. I think the Voit Duck Feet give me more acceleration, but they also require stronger legs. So that's the trade off -- do you want off the line speed to get into the wave or an easier stroking fin. I like both, which is why I switch off depending on my mood!

I may need to apply some "Mole Skin" protection to my feet to continue to use these fins which WORK GREAT!
I wear a 10.5-11.0 wide shoe and the XL fits very snug. The tops of some of my TOES RUB RAW even with a thin sock. I may need to apply some "Mole Skin" protection to my feet to continue to use these fins which WORK GREAT!

Great fit, perfect for children with smaller feet
We have searched high and low for boydboarding fins to fit our youngest son. These are the smallest we've been able to find, and we are thankful that they are a great quality too.

but i do love the quality is really good and i really love ...
At first they came too small, had to ''enlarged'' them by placing items to stretch the ends, finally had to wear vasseline every time i put them on for fast put on, but i do love the quality is really good and i really love the propulsion these duckies normally offer.

Great fins, run a bit small, great company to order from..
I love these fins, they replaced my old pair of Churchill Hubbs Makapu fins. These fins run smaller than most, for my size 11.5-12 foot I needed a super xl.The first time I ordered a large without doing my research and they were too small but this company handled the exchange quickly. I'll give them more business because they were great.
