I collect vintage telephones including payphones. Even though this is a child’s book I totally enjoyed it. It has a nice message and wonderful art. My accolades go to the author and artist.

Great children’s book. Reading it tonight to my little ones for the hum-teeth time. Never get tired of it.Kids wonder “what’s a phone booth”? Nostalgic

The Lonely Phone Booth of this jaunty tale is a bit of the old street scene bound for oblivion. In children's book mode, the staunch little out-of-date structure weathers life, progress and the pressures of modernity to prove its worth and survive the march of time. It's another artifact "that could."While not a new theme, the tone of the prose and the captivation of the artwork make it a delightful read for adults and a happy listen for youngsters.However, I have to wonder if the results for the actual booth in our real world will mirror this story or whether, in a few years, anyone will even remember what a phone booth is/was.On the other hand, New Yorkers will revel in this much the way they delight in the tale of The Little Red Lighthouse, another survivor of childhood fiction to which they can bring their youngsters.

I got this book because I needed a story telling activity to go along with an English class for Mexican young learners (9-12) about technology, it worked really well, love the story and the illustrations are really cute.
