Super easy to use, great durability, great looks
After failing by using clear coat from a big box store, I went the real route and got 2k clear to re-coat a carbon fiber spoiler and interior trim pieces...after appropriately sanding and cleaning up from my prior mess. This went on SUPER smooth and clean. dried to a perfect matte finish and saved me a TON of money by allowing me to DIY.Highly recommend.BUT...make sure you've got all your pieces ready to go once you start spraying. Lasts a few days in the can then hardens up.

Awesome product! Read below!
I restored my recently purchased ‘96 Honda Shadow VT1100C2 with SEM Trim Black paint (spray gun style at 25psi), which has a satin finish. It was perfect. I was nervous about using an aerosol matte over the top of such perfect and durable paint, but my senses told me it would be good for longer lasting durability. I took the risk. No one on the interwebs mentioned using this product on SEM Trim Black. I’mHere to tell you that I’m happy I did. With the paint, I applied three coats, 5 minutes apart at 25psi. I warmed up the Spray Max right before I was ready to start spraying the color by soaking it in a bowl of warm water. When it was time to get the van ready for application, I dried the can off very well, shook it for a minute, activated the hardener, shook it for a whole minute, checked the wind with my wet finger, and sprayed. 2 light coats 10 minutes apart and a final light-medium coat. Do not go heavy. Follow 10 minute rule. Follow top coat rules and when your respective manufacturer says it’s safe to spray (don’t spray too soon or a couple hours after top coat or you’ll have problems). Make sure you don’t get overspray on other parts you painted as it will dry to dust and land on the other parts. After 5 days, I wet sanded with 5000 grit sanding pad. Wet sanded. 5000 grit. Do NOT use 1500 or 2000 on matte finish, you’ll destroy it (I sampled the back side of a side fairing and learned this). I wet sanded any areas that had a dusty texture and got it smooth and satin-yyy. Do not leave stripes. Slow, but not too slow sweeps to the left, up a couple inches, to the right, up, etc. so many people do not know how to use aerosols and get on Amazon and complain. Same people can’t adjust a toaster, either. Watch some YouTube videos and do this right and you’ll say man, $20+ a can was worth it!! A pro would charge hundreds for the same finish. I can’t verify the 48 hour shelf life. I also used this over VHT flat black wheel paint on the front forks, rear struts and seat pan with the same awesome results. Did not use on the pipes (they exceed heat rating, go with VHT flame proof paint and clear if you wanna do your pipes). My pictures are pre-wet sand. It only got better after the wet sand and some Flogenix protectant spray.

The best (and only REAL) clear coat in the can money can buy
This clear coat is PHENOMINAL!! Absolutely glass-like finish on the high gloss version. I've never even had to wet sand it afterwards. No orange peel to speak of, but that will vary based on a lot of factors.. Easy to use. I've been blown away by the results every time I used it on a project!! Sure, it's expensive, but it's much easier than hooking up the air compressor, installing your air-dryer, running the hose, filling your spray gun, and then cleaning it all up afterwards. For small projects this is my go-to clear coat, and I will continue to buy it for multiple automotive and other small projects on the farm. UV resistance is as good as any automotive 2 part clear coat. I LOVE THIS STUFF. Ease of use is the biggest selling point for me.

Awesome surface finish and very durable
I used this to restore a kids bicycle for Christmas. The matte finish makes it a little tricky to see where it's covered since it doesn't wet out like a gloss finish. It almost looks powdery going down. But the end result was fantastic and seems to be holding up well. Keep in mind the curing time. Even "dry" the finish has not fully cured. Once it does though it's pretty solid. The working time once mixed is fine but it's kind of annoying to have to toss a partially used can after 48hrs, if I had to complain about anything.

Excellent Satin Clear Coat Over Polyurethane
Excellent product. Easy to spray on and produces a solid, even satin clear coat. If you need a thicker clear coat, I’d recommend using two cans. I used this on a guitar body (on top of Rustoleum polyurethane spray paint) and one can is just barely enough to do 3 medium coats; not nearly the thickness of a factory clear coat. Again, the stuff is solid though, very hard and durable. Don’t spray it indoors without a respirator and don’t let it dry where you breathe, this stuff is toxic as hell, but that’s what makes it look so good when it dries. Also, don’t touch it for about 4 days after it’s on- it feels dry to the touch in a few hours but it hasn’t hardened for at least 3 days.

It’s all in the prep! But this stuff goes on easy peasy when warmed flawless results
I’ve used the 2k clear before and loved it.. straight up show car finish. Only downside is the pot life:( but if you’re planning on using the whole can.. it’s hard to beat. This stuff lays on much lighter than the clear but the results are legit! But hard to find info on the cut and buff process!? I’ve herd of spray can matte finish that you can wet sand and buff and it still stays matte I have yet to see if this is the same but I’m super stoked on the outcome. F.Y.I anybody on here that gives this stuff a bad rating they did something wrong at some point of maybe got a defective can. And also anyone looking for a 2k clear with a long pot life a company called car-rep has a clear coat that doesn’t go bad right away!
