If your tool (battery saw) doesn’t have 3 electrical connections it doesn’t work. My battery has 3 my saw only has 2 doesn’t work with trigger on pole will work if it’s connected and I use trigger on saw. They were very helpful to resolve the issues and refund my money

This is a great little chainsaw kit for home yard maintenance. It not only works great as a standalone 6" handheld chainsaw for trimming shrubs, trees and tree branches around the house, it converts into a handy pole saw with its telescoping extension handle. The extension really helps reach things out and deep (like blackberry shrubs) as ell as for branches overhead. The head is adjustable and locks into multiple positions so you can get cleaner cuts without having to contort yourself. The dual safety lock system is great - keeps you from accidentally starting the saw. It's well made, sturdy, and lightweight so you aren't getting tired when working outstretched. Battery life wasn't stellar but I found I had compatible batteries so I was able to use this effectively to cut down blackberry bushes that were flattened by a recent snowfall.

Nice branch trimming pole saw. In the box you receive the fully assembled mini 6 inch chain saw, one battery ( took 1.5 hours to charge), battery charger, shoulder strap, 4 extension poles which are made out of metal with hard plastic twist nut type connectors, and a two owners manuals which describe assembly. The hand held mini chainsaw is a nice design with a nice grip to it and it is not very heavy to hold. It has a lanyard on it, on the left side of the saw handle their are adjustment knobs for making chain tightness adjustments. Their is no auto oiler on this unit so you will need to keep the chain oiled. The extension poles are easy to assemble and there is a provided video on the Amazon product page which will show you how to do it. The pole was 79 inches long without the tool or battery attached. It was 94 inches long with the mini chainsaw and battery attached to the pole. A nice feature provided on the pole is that when you have attached the chainsaw to the top of the pole there is a safety lock that you turn and it prevents the mini chainsaw from slipping off of the top of the pole as you are working on the tree limbs. I am not sure how they are able to advertise a 14 foot reach with this unit when it is a total of 94 inches, 7.8 feet, long max with tool attached. (I guess they are counting on the persons height who is using the saw?) Also at the top of the pole where the chainsaw attaches there is a black push button that you can press to adjust the angles of the saw to 4 different positions. It appears to be a well built unit which will help my wife with her tree trimming in the spring. Why did I give it 4 stars and not 5? 4 stars is due to the unit only coming with one battery, no bar oil container provided, hard plastic chain guard not provided for the unit and no carrying case provided to store the pieces in the winter.

The extendable pole itself works well and gives great height—reaching up to 14 feet definitely makes trimming high branches much easier. I like that it’s tool-free to assemble and the rotatable feature helps with positioning at different angles. The shoulder strap is also helpful for support during longer use. However, for the price, I was disappointed that it doesn’t include the chainsaw head or battery. Since it’s only the pole, the cost feels a bit steep compared to other options available. If you already own a compatible 21v Shintyool battery and attachments, it might make sense—but if not, the total investment adds up quickly. Overall, it’s functional and sturdy, but I do think the price should better reflect that it’s just the extension pole without additional components.

The only pole saw I’ve ever used was muscle powered saw piece attached to a piece of pvc pipe so especially compared to that this is fantastic. It can be used as a hand saw or a pole saw. I’ve used it to cut the tree branches growing over my driveway which were all under 2” wide. It was so easy to use and hold. It did take some practice to find the right technique so the chain wasn’t getting stuck on the branch but once I got used to it, it cut through the branches slick as a whistle. It attaches securely to the pole. It came with one battery that holds a good charge. It seems to be made really well, it’s held on just fine to any branches I’ve needed to use it for.
